Greens are ridiculously bad and price should be equated for in this.
Great course with a few issues
This is one of my favorite courses in middle Tennessee. Not because of the conditions, though the fairways are excellent. The greens are bent grass. And due to weather aren’t conducive. Several dead areas on the greens or have a fungus. I can’t tell. The layout is boring in some places and challenging in others. All in all it’s a fun enjoyable course. Forget about making a tee time because somebody will jump ahead of you.

I have played this course multiple times and the layout is great and pace of play is fast HOWEVER the greens are BURNT…buyer beware…!
Still one of my favorites
Good little course. Getting a tee time are useless. Someone that just shows up will go straight to the tee. Something is happening to the greens though. They move the pins around to miss the awful parts, fairways are perfect (Bermuda loves heat) greens are bent grass and hold very well. Whether it’s too much watering and a fungus who knows. Front side, traps are perfect, the holes I played on the back, not so much. All in all, enjoyable for a muni in the midst of nowhere.
Challenging Course
Third time to play Saddle Creek. Tees and fairways have always been plush. There's some work ongoing on hole #3 that make it rough just off the fairway. The biggest problem with this course is the Bentgrass greens. They begin to wither in the summer heat. I would suggest playing Saddle Creek before June 30 -- the greens are in great shape before the heat wave starts.
The pro shop is well-stocked, and the bar / grille has plenty of food and beverage options.
Greens still need work
Friendly staff. Fairways are in decent shape and some are in great shape. Many tee boxes need attention to. Almost ALL the greens need assistance. They are in desperate need of maintenance. One green had half the green dead.
I have played this course multiple times. I wish it was in better shape for the $50+ price.
Good course for the money
If you are an average golfer, maybe play once per month or once every couple months, this is a great course for the money. Especially in the south of Nashville area, all the courses are so expensive.

Enjoyed playing Saddle creek. Definitely has some challenges. Will definitely play it again.
Course in great shape
The course was in the best shape I have ev seen it. Tee to green was fantastic. Fairways especially were awesome.
Greens were sub-par
The greens were in rough shape. So much so, that I feel it should have been noted when I made the reservation. I understand the area had a lot of water recently, and the course was wet, but that was to be expected.
