Winter golf?
Man, it is the wrong time of the year to try to play golf in many Nashville courses.
iBook on GolfNow. So I didn’t realize The back nine is not open from nine was in bad shape called with the frost and the mud and the water. Can you Bing the driving range we as closed.
Call before you book.
Disappointed with Golf Now!!!
Due to unexpected rain and weather we were not able to play. The course was virtually closed to play and I sent 2 emails to Golf Now seeking a credit on future play. No response!!! I read and understand the 24 hr cancellation policy but there is always and exception. The course it self is one of my favorites and as a result of the lack of feedback from Golf Now I will never use Golf Now again and will ensure that all my friends don’t either. Very unprofessional.

Great Bones
It was winter golf with rain but in the mid 60s. This course has great bones with lots of mounds and undulations. The greens were fast considering the rain. The clubhouse is wonderful too!
Great Comeback
Towhee is back!
Have always liked this course due to the layout. With course renovation the greens are best in middle Tn.
A tad expensive, but worth playing especially if you can get a hot deal!

Excellent Shake for Cold Weather
First time playing this course. Live in Franklin and most courses here are too expensive for the condition they are in. Worth the drive for the value Towhee provides.
There was a whole lot of waiting on the front 9 and then a foursome skipped in front of us on 16/17 which held my buddy and me up and kept us from being able to play 18. Not the courses fault but clearly bad etiquette from that group who were not going to be able to finish either way and were not being slowed down by us as we pulled up to 18 just as they were teeing off.
Too expensive
You can play courses comparable to this in this area for considerably less money. The food was expensive and only two choices to eat: hot dog or chicken wrap. I got the wrap and a whiskey and coke for $22 not including a tip. Example: Franklin Bridge GC, for less greens fee you get range balls, lunch, a drink or draft beer and chips all included. Just one example.
Fast greens
Only a couple things I wasn't thrilled about. I hate the use of plastic rings in the cups many times they aren't low enough in the cups. The tee boxes were in need of watering as I use a martini tee and I couldn't get it in the ground far enough. Pin placement in my groups opinion were set up for tournament play not a casual Monday round as most were on the edge of a slope with no way to get the ball close on downhill putts.
Interesting, challenging course.
Greens were fast.
New clubhouse is nice.
New owners are doing some very nice upgrades.
Limited yardage markers so bring your range finder.
Fair and balanced although played with a cold
It’s a very good challenge. 6 par 3’s is the only drawback. That being said, I like Towhee very much. Will be back
GREAT DAY OF GOLF
GREAT WEATHER AND GREAT COARSE FOOD AT COARSE WAS EXCELLENT
Wow
I hadn’t been to this course for years and I was pleasantly surprised. I am going back for lunch soon.
Not Worth the Money
Title says it all. This course would be perfect if it was priced at $60-70 max for 18, cart, and a small range ball. The problem is the owners have clearly spent too much capital on the clubhouse - which is worthless to the average golfer who is most likely stopping at a gas station before the round. The course is definitely difficult, and many challenges are presented throughout, but by no means is this course worth $100 all in for a round. I have not regretted paying that much for Gaylord or Hermitage, but I absolutely regret paying the green fees here. Advice to ownership would be to immediately divert all future spend into the course (better hole signage, directional signs). The next time I’m looking to pay up for a nice golf course in Middle TN I’m staying in Nashville.
