Great course to get in a quick fix
This course is a mini version of a normal course that allows you to use a wider range of clubs than a par 3, even though it’s just a par 30. My experience is a little unusual since it started pouring down rain but I played through my round and had fun.
Good
I feel like it’s a little bit of a challenge golf course!!
Executive course great for novice golfers or a quick 9
I enjoy playing this course. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Nice layout and quick pace of play. Great course for beginners or if you only have time for a quick 9.
good executive course
play this course often because it's close by and usually not crowded. But now, it's busy. covid, I guess.
Too beautiful to sit in front of my computer
The weather was too good to pass up. I arrived 10 minutes early to find they had sent my group already. No big deal, caught them by the time we were putting on the first hole. Group in front of us were all seniors in carts, so pretty slow. Glad to see the goose populations were much less than last time I played here. Got in 9 holes in about 1:45. Not too bad considering we had to wait to hit on just about every hole.
Great Value
Nice par 3 course. Greens can be iffy as patrons dont fix ball marks, and every now and then you almost get killed by a newb who shanks a ball and doesnt call fore. But that’s not really a knock on the course as it’s a casual atmosphere, and thats the intended customer base. You’ll find the same issues at all par 3 courses. Great place for beginners to learn or experienced players to practice with a variety of par 3 distances. Amazing value. Nice water features, and some beautiful huge old trees. The first hole has one of the biggest black walnut trees I’ve ever seen!
Iron tune up
Nice course to sharpen skills.
Challenging enough for any golfer.
25 is course record. I had a 25 too, but teeing off on number 6 eclipsed the record with that and following shots.
Enjoyed the greens, and course was in great shape for July1.
Practice Course, Nothing Else
Wilson Road is a simple 9 hole practice course, with 7 par-3s, and 2 short par-4s. It’s in relatively decent condition for being what it is, and the greens were actually in great shape too. However, a LOT of people play this course, so pace of play can be pretty bad. Additionally, they don’t let you use the putting green at all unless you’re next up on the tee box, which is not standard almost anywhere you’ll ever go. Wilson Road should only be visited by beginners looking to practice. Otherwise, it’ll be a pretty frustrating outing.
Nice little 9 hole course
Wilson Road is a fun nine hole course where you can work on all aspects of your short game and obviously you’re going to score ok. The greens are sneaky tough and the par 4s play tougher than you think. This time was interesting due to the US Open rough and the pros paths they mowed in front of the tee boxes (probably the only mowing they’ve done on the course this year other than the tees and greens)
Nice nine hole course
I’ve played here about 5 times this year after not playing it in over 10 years
Good condition
Nice challenges that you can play in 90 minutes or so
