Golf Club of Dublin

About
Although the climate gives away the location, the Golf Club of Dublin is a more authentic interpretation of the traditional links of its Irish namesake than most other replicas you'll find. The flat terrain, which was formerly a cornfield, was transformed into an enjoyable linksland layout covered with tall, sweeping heather and hundreds of yards of hand-stacked stone walls. The gently rolling fairways are generous and the classic, square-shaped greens are enormous and fast. In keeping with a true links golf course, there are nearly 80 steep, sod-walled bunkers waiting treacherously by the fairways and greensides to swallow up errant shots. Depending on the sun, the shadows cast over the bunkers can play tricks on your eyes, making them appear deceptively deeper or shallower. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes at the Golf Club of Dublin.

Rude
Course is nice, staff is regularly rude and arrogant. We had a ranger come out and question our group mid-round because the people we got partnered with was a dad with his 2 sons - even though only the 2 boys were golfing and the rangers let them tee off like that they were flippant about there being a 5-person group. Another time the course was closed because of a little frost (which is fine) but a little warning would be great, I drove over an hour round trip for nothing.
Great time
I had made a mistake and mixed my days up and the staff were awesome and were able to get me out to play. The course was in great shape, the staff was fantastic and I had a great time. Look forward to playing again.
fun track
Really enjoyed the layout...fun, fair, challenging
Greens were quick...took a few holes to get used to the speed
The only criticism I have is the cart auto-shutoff when you ventured into "restricted" areas...
It seemed like some carts (regular carts...not those exempted for handicapped players) could drive in the rough and other allowed areas. But, our cart was constantly shut off and forced to use Reverse to return to cart path... We were trying to follow the rules...
Overall though, a great afternoon...
Fantastic treat
So visited my son this weekend and he booked this course. We teed off a little after 8 on a chilly windy morning. Made us feel like we were in Dublin. The holes were challenging but fair. The course was in great shape and greens were fast. Greens were very big and showed wear due to people not fixing ball marks. Water was present on many holes and made it challenging. At the end of the round I realized how much I really enjoyed this course. Little touches like the stone walls and the very large greens made it apparent they are proud of being in Dublin. Overall, one of my favorite courses I have ever played. Looking forward to playing there again soon.
Gorgeous course!
This course in Dublin, Ohio is an absolute gem that's very well taken care of. Unlike a lot of central Ohio courses, this one actually took the time to grow out their rough, and maintain their fairways. The ranger was friendly, and worked to get us out on time.
The one big downside to this round was the amount of people on the course. Management booked WAY TOO MANY TEE TIMES, and we were unable to finish our round due to darkness.
Great joining players
Starter did a great job mixing single players, those playing 18 vs 9 in regard to pace of play.
Attrociously Overpriced.
Ita been a couple years since Ive played here, today I remembered why. Starter rushed us off the practice green to tee off 25 minutes early while acting as if we were late. Greens were in terrible shape. Felt like I might have been the first person who fixed a ball mark all year. Fairways were covered in clumps of loose dead wet grass from what looked like maybe last weeks mowing if not ankle deep standing water. Some holes were cart path only some werent. Some holes had the cup filled with foam due to covid some didnt. The price to play here should be criminal. Municipal quality inconsistencies at best, but double the price. Never again.
Unprofessional grounds crew
I called and spoke with a staff member about the cart policy because my dad is handicap. They said he could drive on the course and it went from 3 holes cart path to several because they did the aeration during the round. One of the grounds crew told him to walk and stay off fairway. It upset him because to the point he never wants to go back. It’s a nice course but saddened I can’t take him here anymore.
A must play
GC Dublin is must play whenever you are in the Columbus area. Course is always in great condition and you get a true feel for a links style course. It’s a fair test of golf and enjoyable round of golf. Columbus offers a lot of excellent golf courses . GC Dublin is unique and a must play
Great Challenge
GREAT course, well worth the drive from Cleveland...Starter was really friendly and gave us the layout or the course and a few tips...
Can't wait to play again when its dry, had a few wet spots in the fairways, but it didn't take away from the fast greens.
Fairways are wide, greens are extremely big, so you may get on in regulations, however be prepared to have plenty of 3 putts starting at 30 plus feet away...lol
