Panorama Golf Club - Rolling Hills Course

Great winter season conditions. Greens were smooth and fast. Fairways were clean. We will be back.

I liked the course design. The variety of t boxes allows players of all abilities to enjoy their round. The issues are with conditions. T boxes could use some grass but some greens are UNPLAYABLE. I like fast greens but when you combine fast with slope it is unfair. Even the PGA has addressed this issue. Some greens...if you get above or to the side of the hole you can't stop the ball. I tapped a ten foot putt (would have normally gone about a foot)..it rolled 35 feet and off the green. I hit a high 7 iron to about 4 feet. When I got to the green it had rolled off the green to the right about 30 feet away. It wasn't every green but way too many. Will not play again.

We reserved a tee time through Golf Now after talking with someone at the pro shop who said taking a certain time would put us on Rolling Hills. When we arrived we were told we couldn't play that refurbished nine (which is in much better shape than the other two) because the superintendent had closed the Rolling Hills nine that morning.

Disappointing.

Greens were in great shape and very fast. The hole placements were ridiculous. You could not hold a putt anywhere near the cup on several holes. There was no way to lag a putt within 10-15 from several holes. Course is in decent shape considering the cooler weather. Will play again.

Have been playing courses in the Conroe area for a few years and had never been to Panorama GC. Very pleased with my firs visit, Great layout, well maintained and friendly staff for a reasonable price. Definitely will be back!

Fairways had too many leaves on ground making it difficult to locate ball. It appears no efforts were made to clean up course

I drive 32 miles to play this course. The greens are the fastest I’ve played! Houston National is second.

Both are difficult to put due to slope and speed.

The staff here are great and relatively nice 19th Hole.

Played Winged Foot/Thunderbird 9s. Had not played Panorama for 2 years due to poor greens. I was totally shocked - the greens all have grass, no bare spots and are really fast - an unbelievable difference. The fairways and roughs still need work. If you play the ball down everywhere, you will probably not like the conditions of the course. Fortunately for me and my playing partners, we are all old farts and play to have fun, so we roll the ball. It may not adhere to the rules of golf, but it is much more fun.

Greens are i great shape and fast. Fairways are good.

Relatively short from the white tees, but still challenging.

Most fairways seem narrow and tight, but this is more due to one or two strategically placed trees. It is imperative to hit the fairway here.

Greens are more undulating than they appear. They can also be quite fast. ESPECIALLY downhill. To the new player, a downhill putt is an almost certain 3 putt on some greens.

Course is hilly enough to be interesting, and is rather picturesque.

Great value for the money.

We enjoy the Villages at Panorama as a good course to practice your game in a great setting. It has three nine holes. Unfortunately for us, the front nine were closed due to spraying and so we played the second (Thunderbird) and third (Rolling Hills). Unfortunately Rolling Hills (which seemed to be in great shape) is protecting the grasses while they re-grow after a major re-work. So it was cart path only. Having usually been spoiled by playing 90 degree, it was a bit frustrating to have a beautiful (78 degree clear) day and be playing CPO.

Haven't played here in a while, but am looking forward to going back soon. Greens and fairways were the best I've seen them in years. Kudos to the course superindent and the crew.

We were told that there was a tournament but that it would be finished by the time we finished the first nine. It was not. So they allowed us to play a third nine that they had just overseded. So, we had to stay off the fairway with the cart.

I have played this course for about 12 years and it is in the best shape I have ever seen it. The fairways are good, rough is tough but fair and the green roll true. The new management company has done a super job bringing the course back to its original shape. The pro shop personnel are friendly and great to work with and the grill has great choices for food. I would definitely recommend this course. It has improved to be one of the best in the area.

I usually play early afternoon during the week. Conditions have always been great. Greens are challenging but true. They did update 19-27 haven't played those yet since last year before update. No complaints very friendly staff. Definitely a course I never get tired of, great elevation changes, plenty of dog legs, pin positions changed regularly. I shoot around the upper 90's at this course compared to low 80's at others mainly, wedgewood and river plantation. Once I think I'm on a roll the long par 5's and sharp dog leg par 4's throw a wrench at my score.

The course is in the best shape I’ve seen in the 15 years I’ve been going there. The greens were fantastic. It’s an excellent value for the money.

Pace of play would improve if marshalling provided.

Great day of golf with friends. The course is always in great condition. The greens are fast, I had a hard time adjusting to them.
