Panorama Golf Club - Rolling Hills Course

Appreciated the Marshall assisting in making our round more fun by moving us to a different course. I love this course!

Sometimes I start to believe I'm a Good putter and then I go to Panorama . The course layout is not all that difficult . The difficulty begins on the Greens not because the Greens are in bad shape . They are in Great shape but get above the hole with the slope that these greens have and you will be tested . Every round I have played there my goal has been to finish with 36 putts . When I do I feel accomplished wich has not been that often . So if you want to test your putting give it a try

For the price, this course is great. Greens in great condition and bunkers are playable. Fairways needed some work, but due to weather conditions I can understand.

Too much slope on some of the greens. One of the holes, if you put from above the hole you are about assured to go down the bank below the green, no matter how soft your putt is. It was like goofy golf at a putt putt. This was a big negative.

First I had setup a tee time online at 1140. Arrrived at 1130 and was told my tee time was at 12. I told the lady in the pro shop that it was actually at 1140 and was again told it wasn’t until 12. I went ahead and paid and hung out for a few until I could start my round. I was playing as a single and was then paired up with 2 other golfer which isn’t a big deal. The problem with this course is the pace of play. There weren’t many golfers on the course and it took 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. There was only 2 groups of 4 in front of us playing. These 2 groups were playing a scramble which was taking too long. After 5 holes we called the pro shop about the pace of play. They said they would send out the Marshall, which they did. But all he did was drive by and wave at everyone instead of forcing a pace of play. I left after 9 holes and will never return to this course again. Every time I have gone out here there has been an issue with pace of play and there’s not even many golfers that go out here. I’ve played in huge tournaments that move at a faster pace. If you can avoid this course

Very friendly staff and starter. Pace of play was excellent. Greens rolled true but had severe slopes. A 3 fit downhill putt can turn into a 25 ft uphill. Bring your patient on the greens

A nice refreshment for Rolling Hills with very Good and fast greens. Fairways could be better and some sand ditches need work. But playing Panorama is really fun

The course was in pretty good condition considering the weather we’ve had here. Very few golfers due to the forecast of rain and Christmas coming up. Friendly staff. Nothing against the course, I just don’t make recommendations.

I drive from Huntsville just to play this course. (35? Miles). My local course dies not compare to Panorama and being able to find a GolfNow discount really makes it an easy decision to spend the extra drive time.

The greens are extremely challenging. Not for the feint of heart. I mean they are fast and lots of slopes.

I wish they would allow me to take a bloody mary out on the course from their bar. Never been to a course that doesn’t allow it. They do allow beer.

Very nice course to play. Again, the greens are way above the average skill level so just enjoy the challenge of trying not to 3 putt to many of them.

Very satisfied with total experience. The food is great. Fairway grass a bit thin, but it’s winter. Summer is much better

Great winter season conditions. Greens were smooth and fast. Fairways were clean. We will be back.

I liked the course design. The variety of t boxes allows players of all abilities to enjoy their round. The issues are with conditions. T boxes could use some grass but some greens are UNPLAYABLE. I like fast greens but when you combine fast with slope it is unfair. Even the PGA has addressed this issue. Some greens...if you get above or to the side of the hole you can't stop the ball. I tapped a ten foot putt (would have normally gone about a foot)..it rolled 35 feet and off the green. I hit a high 7 iron to about 4 feet. When I got to the green it had rolled off the green to the right about 30 feet away. It wasn't every green but way too many. Will not play again.

We reserved a tee time through Golf Now after talking with someone at the pro shop who said taking a certain time would put us on Rolling Hills. When we arrived we were told we couldn't play that refurbished nine (which is in much better shape than the other two) because the superintendent had closed the Rolling Hills nine that morning.

Disappointing.

Greens were in great shape and very fast. The hole placements were ridiculous. You could not hold a putt anywhere near the cup on several holes. There was no way to lag a putt within 10-15 from several holes. Course is in decent shape considering the cooler weather. Will play again.

Have been playing courses in the Conroe area for a few years and had never been to Panorama GC. Very pleased with my firs visit, Great layout, well maintained and friendly staff for a reasonable price. Definitely will be back!
