About

Rolling Oaks opened as the Western Oaks Country Club in 1978, became known as Heather Run in the 1990s, and then as the more descriptive Rolling Oaks. The course is built around many lakes that are known for holding outstanding lunker bass.
The front nine is more open and a bit less lengthy, while the back has more elevation changes and trees. The first notable hole is No. 6, which plays almost 200 yards into a severely sloping green.
Holes 12-15 make up the toughest stretch on the course. It starts with No. 12, a long par 5 with a tough green, followed by the signature No. 13, which plays 402 yards into a sloping, tree-lined fairway. This hole is known for the huge cliff on the right-hand side. No. 14 is tough because of the lake fronting the green, and No. 15 requires a tee shot over another lake.
Getting there : From I-35 south through Waco, turn on north Hwy. 6, then take the Bosque exit. Turn left and after 1 mile, turn right on Western Oaks Drive. Turn right again and the course is at the end of the road.
