Logan River Golf Course is two things -- gorgeous and dangerous. The gorgeous half consists of the wild settings and solitude that comprise each hole. The dangerous half lurks in the marshes and thick grasses which boarder the fairways. Bring extra balls.

The Logan River flows through the golf course and fishermen are often found on it's shores. The course construction creates the illusion that the tees, fairways and greens have risen up from the floor of the riverside wetlands and ponds.

Water and waste areas come into play everywhere. Several of the holes require first and second shots over hazards. One par 5 even has an island fairway.

But, the same terrain that brings fear to the golfer is the same scenery which makes this course one of the best. Even though the Utah Golf Authority has never played a resort plantation course in the swamps of the South, we can't imagine that they'd be much prettier or challenging than Logan River.

It's A Tough Cookie Of A Course

I was super excited when I arrived to play this lush course in Logan. It was pretty wet and saturated because of all the rain we've been having lately.

Don't let this place fool you, it's tough. Lots of marshland and water everywhere! I lost a ton of balls since you can't really walk into the areas with the 7-foot tall reeds. It's ok, it's super cheap to play ($12!) and it's great for practicing your game.

You can even see fish in the crystal clear ponds when you walk by to see if you can see the ball you lost.

Definitely recommend but not my all time favorite!

Challengin course with beautiful mountain views

A lot of narrow landing areas and plenty of water reward accurate drives. A little course knowledge and good distance control are essential for good course management; i.e. avoid hidden hazards. Professional and courteous staff add to a great day out on the course.

Golf Course with snow capped mountains

Great course in a wonderful setting, in very good condition for spring. The greens were in great shape.
Plenty of water so hitting it straight is a bonus.

Fun and Challenging course

I like Logan River...It has challenging Par 5's and risk reward Par 4's. I teach golf in the Ogden area and I like to take my students to Logan River as a mid-term skills test. It will chanllenge all levels of players.
