Come summer, many Utah residents trade their ski poles for golf clubs.
GolfPass releases a Top 10 Public Golf Courses in Utah every March thanks to YOU. We create our annual Golfers' Choice lists by curating the reviews submitted by everyday golfers. We use GolfPass' Ratings Index logic that weights newer reviews and combine it with a course's subcategory averages.
Each course needed at least one review and at least some public access to qualify. Unfortunately, without a single 2024 review, courses like Entrada at Snow Canyon and Black Desert Resort - which hosted a PGA TOUR event last fall and will host the LPGA Tour in 2025 in southern Utah - weren't eligible. As exclusive private clubs, The Country Club in Salt Lake City and the 36-hole Promontory Club weren't eligible, either.
We make our Golfers' Choice best-of lists user friendly. Simply click on the photo of each course to learn more about the facility or to book a tee time (in most cases).

Soldier Hollow Golf Course - Gold Course
Midway, UtahPublic/MunicipalGreen fee: $42–$67
What they're saying: "While traveling I like to use GolfPass for information for courses in the areas that I’m traveling too. Unfortunately the reviews (for this course) were not up to date. This Utah Sate Park golf course (Gold) was one of the best courses I played in the area. They had just punched the greens two days before I played and had very little problems. The course started out fairly flat, but as we worked toward the back, the layout changed. The back nine was a lot of fun. From the check in clerk who was very friendly, to the last putt, it was an excellent experience. It is must play if your in the area. They also have a (Silver) course which I’m sure is in excellent shape as well." - ksucats96 -
Eaglewood
Green fee: $40-$50
What they're saying: "Eaglewood GC is a challenging course with a great deal of elevation change and unique hole layouts on the side of a mountain within a housing community. The course layout is challenging but not friendly for casual golfers. The staff is very friendly and the overall experience was excellent. Their golf carts are perfect for their course and are very comfortable. The pace of play was a bit slow on the front 9 which we were behind the course’s pace almost immediately due to the group in front of us which had not played 9-holes and opened up the back 9 for us. This is a fantastic course that our group enjoys playing despite the difficulty and challenges of every hole." - edmondragon -

What they're saying: "The grass on this course is so thick and plush compared to my Florida courses. Tees, fairways and greens all had full grass coverage and well maintained. " - GoldingGemini -
The Hideout Golf Club
Green fee: $38-$56
What they're saying: "The golf course was beautiful! Had to share it with some local animals but I enjoyed that! We had a great day at their golf course. If I ever get back to Utah I’ll have to go back there it was that nice." - GolfPass Reviewer -

Gladstan Golf Course
Green fee: $37-$63
What they're saying: "Perfect course for someone who wants to experience mountain golf. Front 9 is fairly traditional, but very playable and fun with a few great holes. There are a lot of sloped and uneven lies which adds difficulty to even the holes that look easy on paper. Once you make the turn to the back it is a different course. Massive elevation changes on a handful of holes and extremely scenic tee shots. Some are very intimidating but fair tee shots. The 12th hole is a driveable par 4 that can be a great eagle or birdie hole for almost everyone but your ball can disappear in a hurry. 14 and 15 are set back into the canyon and are some of the coolest holes you will find anywhere. Add in 18 which is a very reachable but risky par 5 with an island green and it’s a layout you have to play at least once. You have to be feeling very confident to go after 18 in two shots since the target is so small, but I was rewarded with an 12-foot eagle putt. Pace of play was slow at 5 hours, and greens also were slow from all the recent rain. Those are two small things that I wouldn’t let deter you from coming to play this course. It is a special layout and a must play at least 1 round." - Joseph6153349 -
