Oakhurst Country Club was designed by Ohio native Jack Kidwell, who took great care to preserve the beautiful natural terrain while still providing a premier championship course. Kidwell deftly utilized the rolling landscape covered with mature trees to create one of central Ohio's most challenging private golf courses. The layout features narrow fairways and small, sloped greens that demand both accuracy and careful strategy. There is also an abundance of water throughout the course that adds to both its challenging nature and scenic quality. The design has an interesting variety of holes with several holes that long hitters will enjoy and others that will test your short game skills. Although it offers a formidable test, Oakhurst Country Club is still approachable to all skill levels thanks to four sets of tees.

Greens are nice
Fair ways a little burnt out but great ccourse for the price very challenging
Don't play if you aren't a member.
First off, the course condition and layout was fantastic. well maintained and free range balls are a definite plus. The problems start when a foursome of seniors (who happened to be members) get behind us and are golfing at a ridiculously fast pace, most likely playing best ball. We offered to let them play through but they weren't interested in doing that.
So here we are 1 hour in to our golf match getting told we need to speed up by some highschool kid. So we respectfully picked up our already quick (in my opinion) pace. We played a rushed game for the rest of the front nine and then grabbed some Gatorade and water before starting hole #10
Fast forward to the 15th fairway. There has been NOBODY behind us up to this point. My entire groups drives land within 10 feet of one another so we are all relatively close to each other when another highschool kid rolls up and says something to the tune of "my boss said to skip hole 16 and play 17&18 because we have an outing today." I respectfully told him that I paid for 18 holes not 17 and that I most definitely WOULD NOT skip any holes.
The bottom line is that we got treated like garbage at this course for reasons unknown. We got constantly told to speed up even when it seemed we were flying through the course. It's unfortunate that as nice as this course is, I will never return.
Private club setting
Interesting layout set in mature tress and rolling hills, not a house in sight. Fast greens with significant elevation change. Balls provided on range. Excellent value.
Sloppy day at Oaky
The course took 3 - 4 inches of rain the night before our 8:40 tee time. Only the front nine was open and cart path only (of course). The course challenging, the greens have great pace and contours. The second hole is a beast! Anywhere but left.
GREAT SHAPE
WOW - is all I can say --- a few fairway bunkers were crusty and need raked - some weeds - but otherwise if you keep it in the short stuff excellent conditions !!! Green speeds were perfect - Keep it below the hole pretty much everywhere for best rounds - rough was thick and juicy - a true penalty if you miss a fairway or green --
I will definitely be back and as often as I can -
Gone Down Hill
This course has a nice layout but course conditions of fairways and tee boxes are poor. Speed of play was the worst I had seen all year at any course. Left with 4 holes remaining as it had already been 5 hours. Two groups on the tee box was the norm. Horrible experience and a waste of money.
Incredible value
Course is in great shape, greens challenging but fair.
Must hit the ball straight to score on this course.
Good condition for this time of year.
Seems many courses have trouble this time of year with dry weather and diseases hurting fairways and greens, but this course was in very good shape with the exception of a few very bad tee boxes. The greens were medium speed and were in decent shape. I would definitely play here again.
Manditory
We enjoyed our round of golf.
Nice Round of Golf
Oakhurst is an old style golf course. A nice piece of land with natural features that allowed construction without moving a lot of dirt. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. No housing on the course, except for the last two holes, and it's not obtrusive. Very small greens put a premium on approach shot accuracy. Needs some TLC on some of the tee boxes and there is some ground under repair, but it's not enough to be bothersome. I would go back. I took a guest from out of town, and he loved it, thought the land was beautiful.
Chance to play Private club
I have taken the opportunity to play this Course thru Golfnow a few times over the past few season's. It's not raining enough in the area to typically be able to make a divot but a great course to go to after a heavy rain. No porta-potties or cart girls so if I owned it I would have both. Challenging layout with almost no houses along the way makes you want to come back again and again. Electric carts are among the best and you can remove the cooler and they will put ice in it wen you purchase you're beverages. Staff are great. I haven't been to the Oakhurst range but looks like a good one. Keep in mind that Oakhaven is a different Course when trying to book a round at Oakhurst when booking thru Golfnow. Enjoy
Love the elevation changes. Every hole is different.
Great course. Variety of long and short par 3's and 4's. Played in 3 hours; it's like owning the course. Because the weather has been so hot the greens were a little slow, however downhill putts were still quick. A gem of a course to play. If you have a chance to play it, take it...
Hidden Gem
Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the sand bunkers were inconsistent, some were severely washed out others were fine. Greens were impeccable for this time of year. Other than that definetly play again!
Much Improved
It had been several years since I played this course. The last time I played it I don't think the course was in as good of condition so I was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely consider membership when and if the opportunity would arise.
Course review
Property is too small for a golf course. Holes have to be on top of eachother. That aside, the couse is well maintained and the staff is courteous and helpful.
Hefty price
The staff was helpful and friendly. The course was and is the issue. The fees are outrageous for what you get. I thought this place would be great because it's normally a private club. I will say with certainty I would never be a member or post there again RIP OFF!
Nice Course
Not a bad course for less than $40 a round. Greens & fairways were in great condition.
Hit it straight
Mature tree lined fairways got me a few times. Better hit it straight. Greens are challenging and fast with lots of undulation. Don't be long,....ever. Nearly Impossible to get up and down from some spots. Most bunkers in good shape. Really nothing negative to say about the course. One of the better courses for the money on Golfnow i believe. Even though it isn't real long, the Course is no pushover. Need to bring your A game. Accuracy and smart play is a premium over length.
Members that have played many times and know the greens like the back of their hand were pushing our group. Only 3 of us, but we never played the course and had no local knowledge. I never understand why some golfers think its a race to get done as fast as possible. Makes me uncomfortable.
Small quibble really. Im sure the members don't really like the Golfnow'ers using their facility.
I'd definitely go back. Should be more enjoyable the second time around having a bit of course knowledge under my belt.
