Split Rock Golf Club
Split Rock Golf Club was carved from the rolling countryside of northern Pickaway County. Its picturesque design is perfectly in sync with the natural surroundings. Designed by the local design team of Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry, the golf course actually required little manipulation since much of the challenge comes from the natural features of the undulating terrain. The layout has slightly different nines that offer a diversity that appeals to a range of skill levels. The front nine is more open and forgiving while the back nine has tighter fairways that are lined with trees. Water is not a prominent presence at Split Rock Golf Club but it does come into play. In addition to the golf course, golfers are welcome to use the driving range and putting greens before teeing off.

This course is not too crowded
I generally play with a buddy or two (rarely have a foursome) that have some physical limitations. Most courses pair us up with strangers and I feel bad for my friends and anyone forced to play with us, as we're just trying to have a good time.
Split Rock is generally not too crowded and we can play as a twosome at our own pace. This course could use a little work, but is a good value for the money. If you're looking for a country club experience, this isn't the course for you.
Good Golf Day
Excellent weather for a day of golf.
Front nine played in 2 hours :-)
Course played a little slower on the back nine.
Course was in good shape.
Nice course. They were in process of upgrading sprinkler system when we played, but course was in ok shape. The greens where in very good shape but a little slow due to longer grass. I'm sure when they finish the sprinklers the greens will be cut shorter. The bunkers are not being maintained right now but I'm sure they will get taken care of, they seem to be.putting money and effort into course. Like the layout. Would like to play again in future, will be beautiful course I bet.
Great Course, plays really well! Challenging fairways and greens at times but overall love playing there!
Split rock is an excellent value for good golf in the Columbus area. Course conditions are a little rough right now with it being the start of the season and the unpredictable weather, but the greens were in great shape and it was still a great round. Hidden gem worth the short drive from downtown.
We're happy to see you had an excellent time at Split Rock Golf Club!
