Split Rock Golf Club
Split Rock Golf Club was carved from the rolling countryside of northern Pickaway County. Its picturesque design is perfectly in sync with the natural surroundings. Designed by the local design team of Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry, the golf course actually required little manipulation since much of the challenge comes from the natural features of the undulating terrain. The layout has slightly different nines that offer a diversity that appeals to a range of skill levels. The front nine is more open and forgiving while the back nine has tighter fairways that are lined with trees. Water is not a prominent presence at Split Rock Golf Club but it does come into play. In addition to the golf course, golfers are welcome to use the driving range and putting greens before teeing off.

The course was in great shape, play pace was perfect, and cart ran great.
WHY THIS COURSE?
It is a friendly comfortable place to play. Why does that matter? I'm not going to play on the senior tour any time soon but I love playing golf. This course is FUN, CHALLENGING but not over whelming, therefore everyone in our foursome had a great day together.
Pace of Play - Great Greens
First time playing this course. Fairly open course with nice wide fairways. Good for beginners. Staff was very nice.
Pros - Greens are in great shape and i thought were the best part of the course.
Cons - Probably the worst pace of play golf i have ever experienced. It wasn’t wet or cart path only. The only reason i can think was they over book the course. It also didn’t help that there wasn’t a Marshall keeping up with things.
Until pace of play gets better, I can’t return. 5.5 hour rounds are not worth it. Would play if it was Mid-Week.
Poor pace. Nice course.
We had a twosome tee off before both the group behind us and ourselves on the first hole. Each time we ran into them, they asked if we want to play though, but then didn’t let us. Then they got backed up by the foursome a head of them. We weren’t in a hurry but it was annoying the starter let them do it and then had us go 10 minutes early and caused the massive jam. The course was very dry and the rough was long but the greens were in great shape.
The Split is in excellent condition.
Accept for a few bunkers that need some repair and attention, the course is in the best condition I have every seen. It was crowded, but pace of play was good. Only had to wait to hit on 17 and 18 as we finished our round.
Greens needed attention
Course was okay after rain...greens were rough in spots...pace of play was very good...nice place and people
Got blocked on hole 1 behind 5 groups. Went to hole ten to tee off. Got stopped and yelled at to go to the club house. Had to explain we waited 30 minutes for hole 2 and left to start the back 9. The lady was sarcastic and mad when we tried getting a refund for the front 9. Asked how many did we play on the front. Only got a in house refund and we live 3 hours away. Terrible course management.
