Jeremy Ranch Golf & Country Club
About
Jeremy Golf & Country Club possesses a highly acclaimed, by publications such as Golf Digest, championship course. Arnold Palmer designed the course, which is nestled in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains creating several elevation changes and elevated tee boxes. It features difficult fairways that are scattered with pines, aspen trees, and low brush and nearly all of them are bunkered and heavily sloped. The greens are medium to large in size and are well protected by bunkers. East Canyon Creek runs through the golf course and it is often used as a water hazards on many holes. Jeremy Golf & Country Club has four sets of tee boxes to adapt to all skill levels and abilities.

This course could be the best in Utah
It’s not the best course in Utah, but it could be with a small remodel. The layout needs no changes. It’s a great route for the terrain. However the course has had no redesign since it opened in 1981, and has flattened over the decades. The greens need to be replaced due to Poa Annua infestation and many patches over the years. They need to be contoured to take advantage of the topography and to toughen them up. Surrounds have flattened out over the last 43 years and need to be contoured so they are not so easy to putt from off the green. There are a couple of green locations that could have been repositioned to take advantage of the creek that runs through holes 6-16. The bunkers are shallow and inconsistent, with many rocks, and some with no sand below the top ¼ inch that gets raked by small tractors dragging a screen.
There are several tees that need to be leveled.
The course is overwatered.
It needs a set of back tees to add 300-400 yards from the tips.
This course is fun to play! It could be a hoot plus more with some investment.
Ahhhh, what could have been, and maybe still will.
Improving Yearly
This was our third guest visit to the course. It only gets better. The greens were hard and fast, but puttable. The staff is truly professional. The course was in great condition. To an outsider it is obvious the members take pride in their course and respect the game of golf. I look forward to our annual visit next year.
Fantastic Experience
Jeremy Ranch is a private course, we played as guests of Club Corp members. I guessed on the price we paid. We played this course as a component of a three city, seven course tour of Northern AZ, NV, and UT. This was the best course we played. The pro shop staff was above professional, the outside staff friendly and efficient. The design is excellent, as well as challenging. The course maintenance was exceptional. Multiple tee boxes allows a person to play from the tee of their ability. The greens were soft and receptive. A well struck and positioned approach shot was rewarded. Once on the green, the greens were easily readable and rolled true. Bunkers were very well maintained. No real tricky undulations. As an opinion, the regular members of the course take great pride in their facility and a demonstrated respect for the game of golf. Unlike many courses, public and private, there were few, if any un-repaired pitch marks on the greens and the divots in the fairways were well sanded. The moose on the third fairway made our trip
