Lakeside Golf Course
About
Originally a nine-hole course when opening in 1966, Lakeside Golf Course expanded to 18 holes in 1993. The course, located close to downtown Salt Lake City, boasts views of the Wasatch Mountains. It is suitable for players of all abilities. The course was built on relatively flat terrain that features plenty of water. Half of the holes have water hazards coming into play. Lakeside Golf Course makes accuracy a priority rather than distance with several out of bounds areas and holes that are short and tight. The facility also has a practice range as well as putting and chipping areas for golfers to use.

Reviews
Nice muni, good conditions
Purchased a "Hot Deal" for this course, which they tend to offer once or twice per day. Very relaxed, medium pace, seems like lots of people live in the neighborhood and just play nine.
Putting gem
This isn't a overwhelming course. You need to think your way around on some holes, especially on the back nine. The greens ran smooth and true. If you missed a putt.... You missed the line.
This was a nice surprise and a fun round to play.
Great course, good layout
This is a good place to play, the unique part of this course is that there is a good balance of difficult and easy holes to play, with several water hazards making some of the holes a good challenge (especially if you want to hang on to your $5 PRO-V's). The only down side to this course is that it is completely flat with absolutely no elevated greens or other elevation challenges. The pace is good and 18 holes can be done in a relatively short time.
I would recommend this course to beginner to moderate golfers getting a feel for the sport. The very best part of this course is the great deals that you can get on GolfNow.com. I played 18 w/cart for about $15 all the time.
playable course for all ages
Good course for beginners and intermediate players. Little on the short side, but good place to practice 3-woods and Hybrids off the tee's.
Excellent
This course just keeps getting better with the new ownership!!! Great Job!
Lakeside Fun
Our mixed couples group really enjoyed our round at the Lakeside facility. The greens were in great shape just really slow. I would play there again.
Sunday golf
Group in front of us was hitting from the blacks, couldn't hit passed the women's tee box, and would look for golf balls, they didn't let us play thru for a while then hit balls into us. Carts aren't very nice and have no gps, which wouldn't matter if there were more yardage markers. With that all said, front 9 easy and nice, for any skill set 11-13 difficult but fun and playable, 17-18 let you swing hard and finish on a nice easy note.
Good deal
I had fun playing at this course with a good deal.
Good track
Greens are in good shape, lack of water takes a toll, but for this time of the year it is good. Great price!
Great Value!
Plenty of price specials; Great Value! Not the most manicured coarse around, but for the price and my skill level it is hard to beat.
Great for February
Front 9 was quick and not difficult, back 9 the pace of play was quite slower but more difficult. The course was in great shape for early in the season.
Nice course
Great course and great value. Pace of play is average.
Enjoyable day
Course played fair, fairways & greens were in good shape. Challenging holes were 11 thru 13, the narrow & cat tailed fairways were fun but disastrous for my overall score, which ended up being 80.
You should be able to enjoy a round here
The greens are good and true with the first nine holes breaking you in gently. The back nine being more challenging. Especially the 11th through to the 14th where the course gets it's own back on you if you're not careful. Overall we enjoyed our day and would play again when we come back to SLC. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to the Four Ball who were playing in front of us - they let us through which we appreciated.
Feel Good Golf Course
Lakeside Golf Course is a great place to work on your game. The course features small greens that require accurate approaches into the greens. Tee blocks are somewhat over watered and are too soggy. Back nine has three intelligent and challenging holes 11-13. Overall Playing this course makes you feel good.
Fast round
I played as a single. Never caught another golfer until the 11th hole. Came upon three youngsters and they moved aside and asked me to play through. Two holes later I came upon 4 young players and they moved over and told me to play through. Never saw another player after that. Finished the round in 3 hours.
Hot Summer Day
What a way to spend a hot summer day! Golfing and spending time with my girlfriend, swinging a club. The course was awesome and my girlfriend had a great time. Thanks Golf Now for the great price.
Good value for the money.
The course was in good condition and the pace of play was great. Too bad my game didn't show up as well. Hitting accurate shots is the secret for scoring well here.
