About
Originally a nine-hole course when opening in 1966, Lakeside Golf Course expanded to 18 holes in 1993. The course, located close to downtown Salt Lake City, boasts views of the Wasatch Mountains. It is suitable for players of all abilities. The course was built on relatively flat terrain that features plenty of water. Half of the holes have water hazards coming into play. Lakeside Golf Course makes accuracy a priority rather than distance with several out of bounds areas and holes that are short and tight. The facility also has a practice range as well as putting and chipping areas for golfers to use.

Enjoyable course!
I like Lakeside. Very nice course greens are in good condition , course is well kept , back nine is harder than the front nine. I will golf it again some time.
Nice course but does have smell
It is by a couple horse farms for a couple holes but not for that long.
Just know before taking anyone there.
Slow pace of play
The course conditions were excellent. Pricing was high for just 9 holes but was comparative to other courses right now. The mix of carts and walkers created a very inconsistent, slow pace of play. This was combined with some slow groups unwilling to allow other players to play through.
why did you put extra players out on back
made turn under 2 hours then stopped quick food and they were putting 2 somes out so we had to wait 10 minutes on 10. waited every shot and 2-3 groups on every hole.
ruined the experience
we are supposed to be distancing but how can u with 10 people hanging around t box

Inability to hold tee time
As my business has me on travel I use golf now to book tee time in many states. Last night I booked a tee time for myself and a client. With an hour and a half before tee time I was informed that I had been cancelled because golf now and lakeside in bountiful UT don’t link and they booked over me. I called and after a number of questions it appears that they filled my tee time with a higher rate this morning. I’m highly dissatisfied with the course and the fact that golfnow would partner with this type of course. Avoid unless you wish to be disappointed!! I play once to twice a week around the country and this is the first time I have experienced this challenge with golfnow.
GREAT VALUE COURSE
Lakeside over the last 4 or so years has upped their quality to match or beat the much more expensive courses in the area. They are always in great shape usually much better than other local courses, even a few of the country clubs. Keep up the good work!

Good to be back
Returned to Lakeside after two years and it was great to play these holes again.
It had been really raining so it was kind of mushy.
Overall in great shape considering there had obviously been lots of play. Maybe a tournament recently. But everyone replaced divots and repaired ballmarks so the course played wonderful.
Lovely Layout
The course has a very comfortable and natural layout. The course was in very good shape and I really liked how scorable the par 5's were. It was also nice to see all of the youth league players.

It's a very nice layout and in very good condition. There were a few areas that were a bit too wet, but I'm sure that varies by day. The par 5's are very score-able.
