Bunker Hill Golf Course

Love this course very much, great shape and awesome greens.

Nice course with great conditions, but this was a five plus hour round. I believe holes 2, 9 and 18 which feature blind drives into wooded valleys with creeks, are major culprits. Every foursome spends time looking for lost balls that could be anywhere. If 8 foursomes in front of you spend 4 minutes looking for balls, that is 36 lost minutes Per nine.

Maybe they could put a forecaddy staddling 9 and 18 to spot balls and ring the bell on 9.

Great course....however, this isn't the first time that the course management failed to tell me an outing was going to be going off in the middle of my round.

Great layout with 5 sets of tees, the watered manicured fairways and greens with undulation and elevation were in perfect condition. You will use every club in your bag at some point which makes it even better.

In a 10 mile radius there is probably around 6-7 golf courses around Bunker Hill, it is by far the best of the bunch. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were pristine. We played around 5:20 PM and there was NO ONE before or after us so the pace of play was great. All the holes presented a challenge and had a good layout. There were no straight on holes.

First time at this course, pace eas extremely slow and could of been easily fixed if a course marshal got out and drove the course to check on the pace of play....A four-some held up the enter course playing extremely slow and were an entire hole behind the group in front of them (treated each hole like a par 3, and didnt tee off until the group ahead were off the green)...Should of easily taken 3 1/2 hrs to play ended up taking 5hrs...not a fun day of golf, and could get into a good rhythm, and they didnt offer to allow our group to play through..smh

I wont play this course ever again

When we arrived we went to the first tee to start our round and the ball on the tee ready to hit and I staff members runs out and says you have to go off the back we have tee times on both 9s, now this is at 610 in the morning so we said no big deal but we will be making the turn at 730 is this going to be a problem he said no problem (we were just a twosome) well it was a problem when we made the turn we were told a hour and a half wait this is unacceptable I will never go back!!! 18 hikers with the first tee time of the day shouldn't wait when making the turn and certainly not 90 minutes

Course is in great shape. Greens were firm but are receptive and putts rolled very nice. Great mix of holes and hilly terrain adds some challenge. Being a Sunday early afternoon there was some slow play but nothing out of the ordinary.

Love playing this course. I've played here many, many times and enjoy it always. #15 is my favorite; ya gotta try to take the shortcut over the water. Lost a few balls but only because they ended up in the water! I will be back soon!

if i lived close to the course i would play once a week.

Unfortunately we got in behind an outing and it was compounded by the fact that the twosome in front of us were very, very slow. Ended up being a 5.5 hour round. The course should have sent someone out to speed up play. But even though the course was extremely wet, it played well and I will go back when it is drier and they don't have an outing. 90th anniversary this year so they must be doing something right.

Played in the middle of winter during a brief warm up and the course seem to drain well and greens rolled great for the time of the year. Winter rates made this course attractive for the time of the year.

This was a surprisingly nice course as I'd heard mixed things. Everything was in nice shape and it looks pretty as the leaves start to change. The elevation changes are really the biggest challenge here, but the holes that are flat are on the easy side. Even from the blue tees lots of driver-wedge holes. A few lakes but you need to bomb a slice or take a really aggressive line to bring them into play. #15 is kind of an odd hole in that it is an over-90 degree around a lake, but its probably a driveable green for a big hitter. Lots of dog legs, and really don't need to hit driver on most holes. The tee box on #8 needs totally rebuilt but all the other are fine. The starter said the greens were soft, they had recovered nicely from the aeration, and rolled good, but they were not soft, quite a bit of bounce on wedge shots and low irons into the greens.

This course is one of the most challenging courses that I have played on. There are a lot of rolling hills, elevated tees and greens and many blind shots. The greens and fairways were in great shape.

The only drawback was the staff. I found them to be rude. The only person that was friendly was the starter. We had poor service in the clubhouse and waited a very long time just to get a hotdog and a drink. The person mowing the lawn was extremely rude. I hit a provisional shot and I could hear him grumbling and complaining.

Otherwise the course is great.
