Needs Renovation
Titus is a new layout that combines the 9 hole Blue Course with 9 holes from the recently acquired Bowling Green Club. The entire part of the BG course part was poorly maintained- fairways not cut - very rough conditions. Even the Blue Course needed attention- sand traps below average- greens bumpy and rough. Some places muddy from watering and others rock hard from lack of water.
One bonus was the green fee special - but the course definitely needs help.
GPS doesn’t work here
GPS watch doesn’t work on this course. The selection is a combination of colors probably from a while ago. I asked but still wasn’t able to get the holes to come up after the 3rd hole.
Shenandoah Valley Golf Club - Titus Course
The course was fun and moderately challenging. It was in good shape and well maintained. It was 94 degrees the day I played but there were plenty of trees to wait under. And wait we did. There was no semblance of player pairing to aid the pace of play. During our round, ahead of us there were three singles, then three doubles, ourselves (a double) then a foursome and two more singles behind them. At one point the foursome behind us and the twosome in front of us left out of frustration.
Twice the ranger came by and apologized for the slow play, but didn't do anything about it.

On the plus side:
*Good value
*Nice layout
Opportunities for improvement:
*Golf carts old & outdated
*Tee boxes pretty beat up
*Lost 3 balls (2 consecutive) after good hits because the rough was so long. This does not make me want to spend more of my $ here. Probably will not return.
Very pleased with the new layout on the Titus course.
Had a great round on the new Titus course,and loved it. A great mixture of holes from the blue course and bowling green. Blue course was always my favorite,so I went into this round expecting to be disappointed with the change. It was just the opposite. I have a new favorite.
