The views here are hard to beat. It’s a challenging course with long par 3s. Big difference in the quality of the fairways between the front and back but greens were in great shape. Biggest reason for the review was pace a play. Total round was 5 hours and 20 min which is absolutely ridiculous and kills the round.

Was heading home to Florida and wanted to play a few courses along the I 81 corridor. Guy in pro shop very accommodating and when we pulled up to the 1st tee I told my wife this is going to be a test. Drove to the top of hill and there sat a little green in the corner with a nice little water hazard daring you to play at the pin. Just a fantastic layout with the rest of the course! When you arrive to the 15th tee, you better have your focus on! What a hole! Grew up playing bentgrass greens and being from Fla. don't get a chance that much. Greens make your course and they were nice. Lots of ball marks only blemish, locals use your ball mark tools and move the grass from around the mark towards it or twist from outside in. Don't lift ballmark up! Will be back for sure!!

Course was in pretty good shape.

Greens were pretty hard and fast considering we had several days of rain in the past week.

Tee boxes were a little beat up and fairways were pretty decent.

Overall a fun course and good value.

Wonderful mountain golf course with excellent turf conditions considering the extreme volume of play they get. Greens have more unfixed pitch marks than I’ve ever personally seen but that’s more on uneducated players than the course itself. They still roll fast and true. This course will test every aspect of your game. Play one tee forward and enjoy.

This is a course we come to year after year during our family golf outing. It is a challenging course, and it is always in fantastic shape.

Really summer like day for mid-April in Virginia and the course was very busy affecting pace of play, but not too slow just a few waits. Fairways were in good shape and greens were well groomed and had good speed. Was a great day to be on the course.

Course was tough for a fist time. Blind shots, fairways were firm, penalized bad shots. Greens were firm and ball rolled true.

I’d like the front nine much more than the back nine….with a tonne of elevation changes made it exciting.

Play here twice a month. Always enjoy the staff and the course. But today, PHEW!, it took 4:45 to play on a weekday! First nice, sunny day and everyone was out!

The course was in modest shape for this time of the year, doing work on some tee boxes, spreading manure etc. but still a great day of golf. The greens were smooth and quick! 4:45 round for mid l-day on a Thursday is abysmal in my book but whatever. Love the course layout:
