Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation I & III Course
About
Located in Allyn just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, LakeLand Village surrounds Anderson Lake with Mt. Rainier providing a backdrop to the south. The community includes three beaches and a 27-hole golf course. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and III, which are played in different 18-hole combinations. Gen I and III combines the oldest and newest nines. The former is shorter and tighter, while the longer back nine has more undulation on the greens and strategically placed bunkers. There are several challenging holes that feature narrow fairways framed by out-of-bounds, and water hazards come into play as well. The golf course is nicely balanced with more player-friendly features, making it a good option for players of all skill levels.

KAREN on the COURSE
Love Lakeland VIllage and I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and course...its my 'go-to' course...BUT today we played as a twosome and caught upto a walking foursome on the third green...no biggie...we waited on every hole for the front 9 til the turn...at the turn to GEN2...we caught them and two of the foursome were walking to the 10th tee box the other 2 were no where in sight; I asked politely if they would mind allowing us to play through as the course was open for 4 holes ahead of them...out of no where 'KAREN' in her sky blue visor and battery powered walking cart (she was in the their group coming form the clubhouse and I guess their spokesperson) came up behind us quickly and told us that 'THEY' would not let us play through even though they had not even gotten to their forward tee box yet...claiming if WE were allowed to play through then the twosome behind us still on the 9th hole fairway (Gen3) would also want to play through and they did not want to wait on other golfers all day...this is more of a PSA to watch out for KARENS on the COURSES...especially an older GAL with a sky blue visor and a 3-wheeler battery powered push cart...
Always in great condition
Everything was amazing. Greens were smooth. Great layout
HOUSES!
If you hook or slice even a little this course is not for you unless you want to risk paying for a large bay window on a million dollar home.
Lakeland Village Golf Course Gen 3&2
Greens are still recovering from being punched and sanded so they are off speed, but the course overall is in great shape, lovely views, varied terrain, many traps and yet plays easily. My putting killed my score but I will continue to we Ork on that. I had a great day.
Hidden Gem in Allyn
Windy day but otherwise perfect. Fairways, tees and greens in great shape. Carts were all sparkling clean and pace of play very good. Lovely setting and very affordable. Somewhat challenging course. Lovely setting.
Gen 3
Great condition, greens rolling well even with aerification. Good mix of holes for this nine
Hidden Gem
Course layout is excellent. Enjoyed the numerous challenging holes. Fairways are alittle bumpy but nice. Greens were recently punched and reading the greens were alittle tricky. My wife and I really enjoyed our golf outing at Lakeland Village Golf course.
9 hole courses
We recently played with anticipation of playing two of three courses. However, we were told that only Generation course #1 is available. So my wife and I played the same course twice. How sad. Drove all the way from Poulsbo to play 9 holes twice. We have another opportunity to play Monday. Hope all three courses are available.
Staff was nice and friendly and facility was well kept.
Good features
Hilly, all the greens are in good shape, slightly.fast. It is hard to read. The fairways are in good shape. This is my second time. I plan to go back to play again.
Hidden Gem
The friendliness of the proshop staff was beyond reproach. She treated me with respect and welcomed me as a valued customer. Her demeanor and attitude was outstanding.
The course was excellent and the greens were well kept and very fast. My wife and I enjoyed our golfing at Lakeland Village golf course. The course was not crowded. Cannot understand why. In my opinion, this place is a quality golf course. We will return next week. Thank you for a memorable time. R/ John G
LITTLE DISAPPOINTED
Price on Golf Now is what makes this coarse worth playing. Rates have increased considerably the past year. Winter rates seem to be more than past summer rates. No rain the past few days but course is still very muddy. Nothing like needing a shovel to dig out a ball in the middle of the fairway; Gen2 hole 1. Eighth hole on Gen 2 has so many pot holes, watched my ball hit center fairway and bounced left and right numerous times. No marshall keeping track of which Generation people start on. Payed online and was expecting another threesome, they didn't want to play with a single so I got stuck waiting at each hole for the groups in front. Greens were nice except for the fact divers are not being repaired by other players. Had the mowers down my back the entire back nine, very annoying. Golf Now Hot Deal only thing that keeps me coming back and it's only 15 minutes from home. New driving range being built which would make it better for practice since you are limited to 5 iron and below or use a set of practice nets they set up for woods and driver. Not much for concession other than sodas and roller dogs.
