Beautiful Course -- Well Kept Especially for Summer!
A cousin from Canada stopped in and we played Riverside. I had never played it before and I was impressed. I already have another tee time set up. Course was in exceptional shape for mid-August. Fairways were GREEN and the greens were faster than any course in the area. Use the practice green before you start. We didn't have time to eat there, but hope to next time. The only negative was the battery in the cart was all but dead by the 13th hole, but we made it to the finish even though we had to push up one little hill. I would rate this course 4.5 out of 5.
course needs monitors
It was Sunday afternoon, SLOOOOWWW PLAY with no monitors on the course. We were a twosome paid for 18 holes but so slow, left after 9. 4 some ahead of us did not let us play through. they must not of heard of "while we're young" campaign. won't play there again.
Hot August Date
I booked this deal on golfnow for $8 or something like that. It was my first time playing the course.
From what I could tell the course is not meant to be played in hot weather. The greens were concrete and the fairways had patches of brown grass which did not reward you for hitting the ball in the fairway. You were almost better off hitting off the rough.
However, the course was pretty fun to play. It is very spread out so their wasn't any backups. Challenging holes. It's a great course for hackers. Handicappers below 10 would probably get upset with the conditions. Couldn't beat it for the price. I will probably go back in Sept or Oct when it gets a little rain.
Bring your best game
This course edges to the Chehalis River with great mountain views. It challenges even the low-handicapper with water, white-sand bunkers, and mature trees. Don't be daunted by the front nine. The back nine opens a bit and leaves you feeling like you could play it again!
It's so close to being good..
This is a nice relaxing course where the greens are consistently good. True rolls and depending on some of the pin placements, scary. There are a lot trees to deal with and you will be punished for bad tee shots. Today, many of the tee boxes were soaked where you would mush around and it has been an extremely dry month. Also there were heavy amounts of clippings all around the boxes. This was more annoying than anything. The ball is carrying well here and would recommend it for anyone. It's a course that could support a group with different skill levels and everyone can get around. I was able to shoot 80 from the blues, but I had 10-12 shots with trees in play.
Best course in Lewis County
Great white sand bunkers, cool chainsaw carvings from dead trees around the course, nice greens, great layout.
Very Challenging Course
This course has a number of dog leg left holes. It's very challenging for golfers that do not hit the ball straight. Good course, nice lay out. Fastest greens I've ever played in my life.
good experience. It had rained several days and there were some wet spots but the course was still in good shape.
Since the holes have been renumbered it is a bit confusing when trying to follow the score card. I would definitely play again.
This course has excellent greens
This course is well maintained, has very smooth, fast greens, and is a fun flat layout to play. It also offers discount prices and has a very friendly staff and the facilities are top notch.
Fast Greens Easy Flow
Terrific deal on Golf Now. Staff were helpful and polite. We moved quickly through the course. Holes are well laid out and you have the chance to use all clubs. Key to scoring well here is the putting. Greens are lightning fast but true. Really enjoyed it. A hidden gem.
This course offers good variety
We had a great time, course has good flow to it. Some holes are more challenging than others, but then there are also simpler holes.
A short but very fun & challenging track. Tight fairways & greens are A+. Why not 5 star - some pin placements are too nasty.
Greens are fast, true, and challenging; this is a great track to test you and get you ready for tourneys....other course maint staff should take note and learn how it's done.......

Nice course. Flat and easy walk. Enough trees and water hazards to keep it interesting.

Can be muddy in the winter but is beautiful now. Great fairly fast greens. Some what of a shot makers course.
Really nice course beside the river...
Best public greens around.
Been playing this track for over 20 years. Pace of play and conditions make it worth the trek from the north or south. Bring a good putting stroke because the greens are quick!
