A nice surprise
It had been since the start of the season since I played the Fairways. I had a horrible experience in April. The course was like a lake! Totally unplayable. This time around it it was a total turnaround. Course conditions were excellent. Fairways were in VG condition and the greens rolled true and medium fast. Aside from my bad experience in April, I really hadn't played at the Fairways in several years. Aside from that one funky zig zag Par 5 Hole 12, I was very happy with the course. I will return!
Great for beginners to pros
I love the openness of the course very few trees and well kept. On a side note women golfer friendly
Course in good condition
I played this course earlier this year and it wasn't in to good condition. This time I played it the course was really good and had a lot of improvementsto the good of the course. Keep up the good work.
Best Greens in Town
You will not find a better place to putt. Excellent shape and an easy coarse to walk as well.
Cool Course
The greens are playing really nice, and this course has a real rewarding back nine.
Fairways Golf
Great fun for the money, Course is maturing nicely, Staff is top notch, very helpful, pleasant and willing to make your outing a success.
Fairways Top Shelf
Chris runs a great establishment and provides a challenging course in superb shape! The entire staff is focused on customer service and is making Fairways the place to go.......very enjoyable experience. Recommend Fairways to everyone.
not average player course
the object, keep it on the fairways i understand, but if you miss, you will not find your ball the weeds and grass along the fairways and greens are thick and deep, and if your an average player bring at least 4 to 6 balls to play with
Wouldn't pay full price
The first time I golfed here I paid full price and was quite disappointed. The overall quality just isn't there. The greens are inconsistent and the fairways are seemingly the only thing they take care of. I golf there when there is a deal on GolfNow for $12 because that is what the course is worth. Not a ton of traps, but it is a very difficult course. You must be strategic when choosing your club but also be cautious of hazards. 3 out of 5 because it is a really fun course but horrible value for how much it costs for a round.
Greens
I love fast greens. The biggest down side is the length. Wind is its best defense!
The course should be really fun after their Lilac Tournament.
Diamond in the Rough
This course gets better every year, and I got a great deal through golf now.com. Will definitely come back to play.
Course was well maintained and had no slow downs
Great course close to Spokane. Good value for the money when you shop on line.
Great Value
The front side was a little predictable but the back side was very nice and challenging but not too difficult!
Mediocre
The front nine wasn't bad with a fairly open course but the back nine was awful. Holes were 10 yards from houses and seemed to be made to hit towards them. They are built around like a swamp water hazards with very little sand traps. The tee off box was recently plugged with a lot of the plugs still on the box. The greens had a lot of worms all over them
Great Day for Golf
You couldn't ask for a better day for golf. Course still has rough patches and areas that have not grow out completely. Compared to other courses at this time they do have distinct fairways and greens. Other courses have grass that has not grown enough to cut to the proper length in most cases. Expect the wind. There are few completely calm days at this course.
the course was great
this is a great course to play on and walk on staff is great so is the food
First course to open this spring!
Fun course. Plenty of open space for those of us that are directionally challanged off the T. Lots of standing water but great to get out again this spring! Greens were surprisingly good for early season.
Staff is always friendly. Excellent value.. I'll come back.
No sun.
I should have called to see if they were letting carts out but had plenty of time to run home and get my push cart...maybe golf now will give me a free round since they forgot to tell me. I should have known no carts since it was so wet that week but was just excited to get out. Haha.. Was a good day.. We finished in the rain.
Great shape for the time of year. All permanent greens.
November golf in this area is edgy at best, but The Fairways is open on permanent greens and in very good condition.
Country Suburbia!
The plus side: staff was very friendly.
Part of my enjoyment of the game comes from the aesthetics of a course. With the possible exception of the last couple of holes, the views are of tightly packed tract homes littered with kid-colored jungle gyms surrounded by ugly fences that shout, "YOU'RE NOT WELCOME HERE!" There is little buffer zone between the course and the houses, most of which have NO landscaping plan, and those that do look so out of place.
Strategically placed trees (big ones and lots of them!) would not only mask the "homely" mass-produced boxes, they would add interest to the course.
