The Fairways

It was warm out and I hit to many ball's at the driving range and my right shoulder was feeling it. Course was packed I had a foursome in front of me and they had a forsome in front of them and so on and so on. I also had a twosome behind me but not pushing me. It took one and half hours to play six holes. At hole #7 I walked off deciding I didn't need the frustration. Anyway golf is suppose to be fun right, well this game was anything but fun and my score reflected it. So rather then suffer 11 more holes of fun, ah right. I decided to do something productive and go get a ice cream cone and something to eat, my high lite of the day. Anyway there are always other days to play golf.

The course is in great shape and we got the hot deal of the day $15.

It was cold and wet just what you expect for this time of year. Went back to my old putter and made some great puts, its the one I will keep in my bag. Drive's not so good, cold and humidity keeped the ball from any distance. Iron shots better heat them solid. I had a couple that realy made my cold hands tingle. Anyway great to get out, still tuning up my game.

Enjoyed this open, fairly long course. Front nine pretty forgiving with wide fairways and not too many physical challenges. Back nine a bit more challenging with a number of holes requiring getting over marsh or water. Leaves were a problem as it often made it hard to find the ball. A fair amount of ground under repair, but understandable this time of year. All in all the course was in very good condition. Felt very luck to get this last round of the year in!

Had a great day playing this course. It was slow getting started due to frost earlier in the morning. Staff was helpful, but not much for food or golf supplies since it was probably the weekend of golf before snow season kicks in. Greens were in good shape and pretty fast overall. Only 2 holes were what I would call challenging. The rest were very straightforward. Definitely enjoyed my time on the course and would definitely go back again.

It was cold and windy, normal for this time of year. I have noticed Fairways has made many improvements to remove standing water on the course, the fairways were dry for the most part. Greens still in great shape and most of the debris had been blown off the greens.

They could use a few more portapotties out in the far reaches of the course for us old men and women and cold weather, I don't think I have to say any more on that subject. It would be nice to see more or better yardage markers as you get closer to the greens. All in all it was fun day at golf I felt I had the course to myself most of the day, it was great to be able to tuneup my game. Thanks!

Fun course and it's usually good pace and not too many trees

Not a real tough course but had a great time relaxed took our time nobody bothered us it was a fun afternoon.

This course has been getting lots of water on fairways lately, greens are always the fastest and best around and now the fairways are greening up very nice and soft. look for deals, there are always some to be found, the staff is very friendly. It can be windy out there and can be very challenging

The course was in great condition though management is fighting a water issue. I especially like the par 3s not being the same length. You can cut the corner on 11.

Never lost site of my ball. Grass was dry and soft. The setting is very beautiful. Great value on a $15 hot deal!

Will play here every time I pass through town.

Not once did I walk straight to my ball. No notice on the website but the whole course was casual water pretty much. I was dissapointed before I got out of my car! Love watching my ball splash in the fairway!

Played end of March so ground was saturated and quiet wet. Greens however were surprisingly in great condition for the time period. I liked the course layout because there was something for every level of player. I especially like the par 3 with the island green and hole 18 where you have to shoot over water for the second island green. Thought it was a great course so thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. Would definitely recommend playing their when it's drier.

A gem for the low price.

We were looking for a course on a Friday afternoon to play that was close to home that had a tee time within a few hours of us looking on GolfNow and didn't break the bank and Fairways Golf Course in Cheney fit the bill. The course was well laid out with holes easy enough for beginners and difficult for experts.The staff was very friendly and welcoming, giving the golf course a very unpretentious feel. We will for sure be out there again.
