Hot day
The course has improved, compared to this same time last year. The fairways are starting to dry out. A few of the greens are starting to get dead spots. Overall I like the course.
Awsome!
Great courtesy & was a slow pace & the marshall got on it, loved the layout! :)
They don't care about the course or players
I've played Crimson Creek many times, this time was the worst it's been. The course is overall in pretty good shape and considering all the rain we got last week it was pretty dry. But pace of play was horrible, called the main to complain but nothing was done. This is a good place to go if you intend on getting hammered at the golf course and spend 6 hours playing 18 holes, 2 groups a head of me (a solo player) refused to allow me to play through, but they flagged down the drink girl every time and would chit chat with her. Greens are good, but appears that no one repairs ball marks. I guess you can also ignore the signs that say Cart Path Only on par 3's since the three stooges in front of me did just that and would part their carts about 5 feet off the green. Since the people that run the place doesn't care, then I will return the favor and not return.
Nice coarse come play...
Nice coarse several par 4 and 5s. Somewhat challenging, and quite. Nice folks and staff will recommend.
disappointing
The fairways, for this time of year, were not in great shape. Don't know if it was lack of water, or something else, but was very disappointed.
Customer service is a lost art.
Unfortunately, my my enjoyment of round at Crimson Creek was totally dictated by the guy in the pro shop. I arrived early thinking I may be able to tee off early, but he was not accommodating. I understand if your tee sheet is actually as full as you say, but there were multiple gaps before I tee'd off. Sometimes people are just inclined to say "no" even when an acceptable alternative is available. The course had gone through aerification a month prior, but greens still had sand and were inconsistent. The course has some challenging holes but it is fair. It is a fun design, but I doubt i will make the trip again. Even for $12. Thanks to my playing partners Fred and Diane for recommending some other courses.
Great Course
The weather was great. I ended up pairing with 3 other guys, and they were friendly and knowledgeable about the course. It was a fairly open course with a few tricky par 3's. I will play this course again and recommend it to other golfers.
Poor golfing experience
The course is in fair to poor condition. The pace of play is slow. The staff is extremely condescending, even though they really have nothing (considering the golf course) to warrant that kind of attitude. Even if there is a large opening of available tee time, the ill-mannered srarter will not allow you to tee off early. Unless you are really insistent on receiving a verbal beat down, do not play this course!
Horrible customer service
Would never suggest this course to anyone. Conditions were horrible and staff was unkind. Manager acted like course was 5 star course when it probably should even make the rating scale.
Give me a break
Jared in the pro shop is disgruntled and it shows. Did not care one bit about customer service. Didn't catch his name, but the starter was nice and friendly. The Marshall was a joke. Old and crotchety and 0.0 personality nor customer service skills. Good took a while but was good to eat. Course was dry and hard, greens were sandy and not smooth. Would not recommend this course or be playing there again.
The greens are great
This was my first time to play the course. I was very impressed with the consistency of the green speed. At this time of year the fairways are void of grass.
The greens
Crimson creek sets on top of a hill so wind is almost always a factor but it's Oklahoma so you just have to deal with the wind. I like the design but the greens are tough most of them are elavated which is another challenge. That's to me is what make this course fun to play. So if you are ever out this way stop by you won't regret it the staff are very friendly and the food is great
Course is a little rough, but fun to gamble on.
The course was in average shape. This time of year, all courses with bermuda fairways have dormant grass, so that can't be criticized. The greens, while fairly quick, were bumpy in many places.
Overall, the layout is a lot of fun to gamble on, with great finishing holes on the front and back.
Greens rolled excellent.
Great weather for December and a good golf course for a great price through Golfnow. Dormant bermuda fairways, moderate rough, and marginal tee boxes blend together for a great time of golf. I played the white tees which were short but you still had to hit the shots. Front nine has some notable water hazards while the back nine surrounds the El Reno lake. Small clubhouse with a good restaurant top it off. I highly recommend the track.
Great Course
The course is great and open. The greens are very difficult.
Decent local course
Good value for this course. I don't know that I would be willing to pay the full rate for this course. The fairways could be better maintained.
Friendly staff. Fun course. Short.
They aerated the greens recently. It is a short course with lots of birdie opportunities. Good variety. Nice staff.
great value
Good value. ..greens were getting better after seeding...will play again in future
