nice clubhouse and staff
An average adequate course , wide fairways, decent greens, not for golf snobs. Nice clubhouse and setting. Not busy so pace of play was whatever we wanted it to be. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our day.
Fun course!
Hadn't played here in awhile, but man, am I glad I did! The course was in great shape! For the money, it's a fantastic track and I'll definitely be going back.
Course is in better condition but staff is never friendly
Started playing here a month ago, played the course six times but will never go again because of the grumpy man and women that work club house. You guys need some people that actually like their job.
Course in fun though, getting in better shape.
Maintenance needs some work, better staffed
Hard to tell where the rough ended and fairways began. Not much in the way of facilities out on the course but a porta-potty and some empty water jugs (over 100 while playing). Gas powered carts are less then desirable. Fees seem high for the quality provided.
Good potential
Nice clubhouse, the greens are fair, fairways are rough. The shop worker was 10 minutes late, delaying tee time.
Golf
Course in great shape. Pace of play was exceptional. Greens in good shape. And overall good shape of course
A fun day with my boys
It was Father's Day and I wanted to play a relaxed round of golf with two of my boys who are home from college for the summer. I wanted to play a course that was relaxed and open and that would challenge a good golfer (the oldest boy) without penalizing the beginner too badly (the younger son). The West Richland course was perfect. We played our own pace and had a great time.
What a dump.
My Dad and I were looking for a nice place to golf for Father's Day that was different from where we normally golfed. We found this place online and the pictures looked very nice. We decided to give it a try! Imagine our surprise when we pulled in after a 90 minute drive to find this course to be a total dump!
Fairways we're barely recognizable from the rough...weeds everywhere....bare spots of dirt...sand bunkers full of weeds...hideously kept greens...the little amount of grass they had was burnt and patchy. This golf course is a disgrace.
If you're thinking about going to this course, don't. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe it.
caddyshack
Course has some good holes and will challenge all levels.
Course etiquette is absent. Radio blaring from golf carts and folks driving up while teeing off along with dropping flag sticks while on the tee box is the norm.
At least it was inexpensive
The course was disappointing since it's early in the year and there has been quite a bit of rain. Fairways bare in many places, and dried out. Where they were making an attempt to use sprinklers there was standing water. The greens had bare spots as well, and more than one was roped off. I guess I hoped for more but should have expected less because of the great price. I won't play it again.
Local bargain
West Richland golf course suffers from some flooding in the winter and spring time and periodically a hole or two might have casual water or closed altogether but is defiantly a playable course and at a bargain rate, yearly memberships are very inexpensive and the new clubhouse rivals many so called up-scale facilities. This is a fine place to play if you cannot get on elsewhere or want to play a real 18 hole course on a budget.
Rough looking course....worse service
We showed up and wanted to add a cart to our round. The course was out of carts. They did give us pull cart, for no charge.
At the turn we finally got a cart. We stopped in to grab a couple of cheeseburgers. 40 minutes later, we started the back 9.
The course is in really bad shape. Dried up fairways. Half of the time you think hitting it in the rough is better until you get up to the rough and it is 6 inch crab grass and you can't find your ball.
We only paid $12 for the round..but I lost 8 balls, just on shots I kept in play because the grass was so high, you couldn't find them. I wish we handn't played.
Great Value!
Course offers reasonable rates, casual and relaxed atmosphere. Recently remodelled clubhouse has great lounge and good food. Course needs a little TLC though.
New clubhouse, fast play
Course could use some attention. Yardage on the course and tee blocks needs updated. Apparently, there was no flooding this year, 2013. Fair value.
Busy city course, but lovely!
Got a great twilight deal here. Excellent condition, medium fast, true greens, the course was BUSY, but pace was great. Carts were brand new and the whole course had a new feel to it, not sure whether it IS new or not...loved it all around.
Top Shelf Clubhouse - Bottom Shelf Golf Course
This course is nothing to write home about. The only reason I played it was the super cheap greens fee that I paid through Golfnow. Very little maintenance of the fairways are taking place, but the greens were not too bad. Easy course to lose balls on because of the heavy overgrowth just off of the fairways and greens. What is simply out-of-place is the expansive, and I do say beautiful, clubhouse that was just recently built after the original one burned to the ground about 5-years ago. Too bad the actual golf course is not of the same caliber!
For the price, it's a deal.
Course wasn't in the best shape yet. But the lies would make you a better player.
