No water
It was cool out but very sunny. Only gave a three star review overall because not only not water on course but bar/kitchen closed. No access to beverage or food and no water on course to drink. Like course and most staff are great, But no food or beverage access is a big deal.
Good value for money
A course with a 95 year history is of course very mature.
The layout is great and it is very affordable to play here.
Hope to come back many more times.
Slow play
Group of 5 men in front of us backed up course. 3 practice swings before hitting ball. On green plumb bob, 2 practice strokes, missed putt, same route again.
A MUST PLAY!
Beloit should be VERY PROUD of this outstanding municipal course! The clubhouse staff, the restaurant staff, greenskeepers are all friendly and welcoming. Golfers are considerate and understand the importance of pace of play as slower players( most of the time) will offer a “play through” which is most appreciated. If you are looking for a course “that does it right and get’s it” come on along.
Beloit jewel
This is truly an asset for Beloit and the area. Conditions could not be better with landscaping improving every year.
The course is respected by those playing it as shown by bunker condition and ball marks repaired
Excellent Condition
Greens are in great shape, rough can be penal.
Tee boxes on one of the par 3 (17) was beat up but that would be the only issue I could come up with. Lot of value for the money. Will definitely be back.
Good WeDay
This was our first time golfing this course. We were very impressed with the great shape of the course - tee offs, fairways and greens - especially with all of the hot dry weather we've been having. To top it off, the staff was very congenial and helpful. Have to go back soon.
Good course maintenance.
Course generally plays well. Sand traps leave something to be desired though.
