About
Fire Ridge Golf Club in Grafton, Wisconsin is a public course but it boasts the amenities and service of a private country club. It is not as well known as some other courses in the area and might possibly one of the state's best-kept secrets. The golf course stretches to more than 7,000 yards from the tips and was ranked as one of Wisconsin's top 20 toughest courses. Mature trees shape the numerous doglegs and there are also water hazards that come into play throughout Fire Ridge. There is an interesting mix of holes including challenging par 4s, with the most difficult being the 16th. There are no surprises on this tricky hole because it's tough enough on its own. Golfers should aim to keep it in the fairway and place the second shot below the hole, making sure not to miss the green long or else they're be facing a fast downhill chip shot.

Great Deal
Played a round with my father and got a fantastic deal through golfnow. The course is in great condition and is difficult enough to be a challenge, but not overwhelming for novice golfers. Would definitely recommend the course.

Very good golf course,but hard
this course is very good. But if you are a beginner, don't come. It's kind difficult.

Great course for the money pace of play was slow groupings were poorly done

excellent daily fee course
playing conditions were very good, even after significant rain earlier in the day. some water in bunkers - course is always a challenge but even more so with a good southwest wind. nice practice facilities and clubhouse.

Very Impressed
offered a great value. Mixed it up with water, bunkers, dog legs, ect. Fairways were fairly tight and greens were smooth and rolled nice. Good undulation to the greens as well, made for some challenging putts if you weren't in the correct spot of the green. Overall very pleased and impressed

A nice challenge
Great conditions, great weather, always a welcomed challenge. being paired up with someone who played regularly aided in pace and score. Place was only slowed on holes playing target golf. only thing on the wish list is adding GPS carts.

Summer Fun
For a non-private course close to the Milwaukee County area this course is a great value. The overall condition of the course was very good. Tee boxes, fairways, and the greens are in great shape for getting a fair amount of summer play. The greens were fair and fast. If I had any complaints it would be on some holes the cups were crowned and any close putts ran away from the cup. Overall, Fire Ridge is a course to seek out this summer.

Tough, inconsistent greens
Great course with tons of elevation changes... Fun challenge! However, greens were extremely inconsistent from hole to hole. It took us 4 hours to play 14 holes, that's unacceptable, even on a holiday. We would return at another discount rate.

Decent Course
Played as a single. Price was a little more than I would have liked to pay, but I wanted to play a decent course. I believe the course had 5 different sets of tees. Make sure you play the right tees for your capability. One thing I didn't like was some of the greens were inconsistent. A couple greens were like you were putting on glass and the remainder were a little on the slower side. I found that a little odd. Usually the greens are pretty quick here. Approach shots are vital at this course.

Early morning round
I booked a 7:30 am tee time, but got there early as was able to go out as a single. Finished the round in under 3 hours...closer to 2 hours...so if nobody is on the course, speed of play is not an issue. I like the way the course is layed out. I'm not a big hitter, so I was able to use my driver (playing from the green tees) on majority of the holes. The course was a little wet, so it wasn't always easy finding a ball that went off the fairway into the rough. Greens were true and a little fast. Some bunkers were in great shape, some were not. I would play the course again if I was in the area.

Great Sporty Course
Great conditions for a crummy June day. It rained all morning, I played in the afternoon and the course drained well for the most part. The greens were true and this course is a step up from MKE county courses. To play this for under $40 is well worth it. I got a time for $27 plus tax. Awesome bang for the buck.

We like playing at the course. The rate we found was amazing. Course was pretty backed up with a slower group- we waited on all shots around the course.

Poor weather condition, rain, fog and wind. Greens were average speed and had many winter kill spots. Tough pin placements

Challenging course
Had a great time at this challenging course. First employee was extremely helpful and nice but the employee by the carts was sarcastic.
Great day for Spring Golf
The course was great, the conditions were as good as expected for early May. The pace of play was not good and we never saw a ranger. The cart girls were friendly and saw us about once every 3-4 holes. Very good course for the price!
