About
Fire Ridge Golf Club in Grafton, Wisconsin is a public course but it boasts the amenities and service of a private country club. It is not as well known as some other courses in the area and might possibly one of the state's best-kept secrets. The golf course stretches to more than 7,000 yards from the tips and was ranked as one of Wisconsin's top 20 toughest courses. Mature trees shape the numerous doglegs and there are also water hazards that come into play throughout Fire Ridge. There is an interesting mix of holes including challenging par 4s, with the most difficult being the 16th. There are no surprises on this tricky hole because it's tough enough on its own. Golfers should aim to keep it in the fairway and place the second shot below the hole, making sure not to miss the green long or else they're be facing a fast downhill chip shot.

SPring golf
I have played this course a dozen times or so. For early spring it was in decent shape. In the summer the greens speed up and the rough grows in and makes it a fun course to play.
Thank you for your review and feedback for Fire Ridge Golf Club. We are so happy you came out to visit us and enjoyed the golf course. Please come back and see us again soon.
Finally got my chance to play here
I live in Sheboygan and regularly head south down I-43 to Milwaukee, always passing Fire Ridge in Grafton and wondering what the course was like. Last November, I finally was able to find a time that worked for me to head down and get a round in.
For it being early November in Wisconsin, the course was in great shape and the weather was perfect.
The course is a touch easier than others such as The Bog or The Bull, but the greens are fast and there are difficult shots to be had throughout.
I was very impressed with the course and will definitely be back again this year.
We are so glad you finally stopped in to play a round at our course and that we have impressed you at that! Thanks so much for the 5 star review. We're looking forward to having you back!
Great course and staff
Great course and staff. several challenging holes especially if the winds off the lake.
Thank you jcielak for your review and feedback of Fire Ridge Golf Club. We are so happy you see the course to be fun and challenging. Come back and see us again soon!
Unfair Pin Placement
Course conditions were very good (aside from the bunkers), tees, fairways & greens in prime condition. They're were some very poor pins. I was above the hole on 2 & they're was no way to stop it within 8 ft. I had 3 putts on the front side that would have qualified as "the most difficult putt I had all year"....I have no idea why they would do that. Saving the pins for weekday play? The bunkers were not raked and were wet & muddy & unplayable...I should add that getting 30 practice range balls for $6 is a little out of hand when you consider 20% or so were run over with a lawn mower.
Thank you 3wack for your review and feedback of Fire Ridge Golf Club. We value your opinion and appreciate you taking the time. We are always working hard to improve course conditions throughout the facility. We hope you will let us know on your next visit if you need anything at all, as we look forward to meeting your expectations over the coming season. Please come back again soon!

Great Deal
Played a round with my father and got a fantastic deal through golfnow. The course is in great condition and is difficult enough to be a challenge, but not overwhelming for novice golfers. Would definitely recommend the course.

Very Impressed
offered a great value. Mixed it up with water, bunkers, dog legs, ect. Fairways were fairly tight and greens were smooth and rolled nice. Good undulation to the greens as well, made for some challenging putts if you weren't in the correct spot of the green. Overall very pleased and impressed

A nice challenge
Great conditions, great weather, always a welcomed challenge. being paired up with someone who played regularly aided in pace and score. Place was only slowed on holes playing target golf. only thing on the wish list is adding GPS carts.

Summer Fun
For a non-private course close to the Milwaukee County area this course is a great value. The overall condition of the course was very good. Tee boxes, fairways, and the greens are in great shape for getting a fair amount of summer play. The greens were fair and fast. If I had any complaints it would be on some holes the cups were crowned and any close putts ran away from the cup. Overall, Fire Ridge is a course to seek out this summer.
