Unwelcoming Staff | Awful Experience
My experience at Spring Valley was awful. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a review of the course itself… as the staff asked our group to leave. This was a new one for us…. Asked to leave?
There was one other group playing the course, yet our business was turned away. For 2 reasons.
1) Brought our own beer(s) - did buy beers from the clubhouse as well.
2) Had a guest riding along as a passenger
The items above are simple to correct. And I would have happily paid for the rider and put the beers in my car.
I look over and the staff member is digging through my golf bag!!! We see him digging through my guests backpack! UNBELIEVABLE. I asked him to respect my property and he asked us to leave. GLADY! WOW… never have I experienced a staff member disrespecting my property in such way.
Absolutely uncalled for by that staff member. Over 2 beers and a guest. Which he never told me how much I owed to have the guest ride. He literally watched us get ready and followed us.
YUCK! The most unprofessional golf experience in 25 years for me.
Enjoy playing here
Friendly staff. Great course.
And awesome brats!!
Great WI course, off the beaten path!
Was great to visit and play this 'hidden' course in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. Although somewhat weird with the hole placements (Ex: you have to cross some fairways to get to a tee box or drive past the clubhouse to play 7,8,9), I love these type of courses.
We were never pressed or backup up to tee off. Some challenging holes overall and appears they are working to make them even better. Great little clubhouse and is the exact reason I was wanted to check this place out! Would definitely go back.
I always like playing this course. I drive over an hour to play here. One of my favorites. It’s quiet, scenic, and a really nice course.
Great course for the money😁
Since I played course 2-3 years ago greatly improved, we very much liked it even though there are tough access to greens but fun to play, will be back again
A fun little course to play
This gives me a complete different view of small courses. It has everything you'd expect from playing a fun round of golf. No one hole is similar, elevated tees and greens, extreme dog legs right and left, occasional blind shots. The owners have.made many positive changes making it much more easier to find your lost balls. I will be back.
Nice course
Beautiful layout, but don't expect to make it through without trouble. Very tight fairways, and some extreme doglegs, and blind shots. I would've had a playing partner as I lost a lot of balls even though they weren't deep in the woods. It's because they were blind shots, and I was unable to see where the ball landed. Even on a 165-yard par 3, I was unable to find my ball after what seemed like a decent shot. My advice... don't play this course alone!
Spring Valley Wisconsin golf course
I really like the layout, the new owners are real nice and they’re actively clearing the rough and out of bounds of underbrush so us ball losers can find our lost balls. They haven’t re-opened the restaurant yet and there is no decent restaurant in Spring Valley that I’m aware of. They do offer sub sandwiches.. The rates are great, and there are no roads leading to Spring Valley that are not scenic.. Stay away… I want it all to myself!
Fun day at Spring Valley
I should have paid more attention to the online reviews about where not to hit a driver. But who loves playing safe? Not me....
Interesting layout. Friendly staff. Would play again.
Greens faster at start of round.
