White/Blue at Ives Grove Golf Links

For the $25 rate on golf now (that the clubhouse manager was not happy about because it was supposed to be $35) for 18 holes riding you can't beat the value. The course is nothing special, pretty simple and wide open. Great for the higher handicapped duffer like me. The only difficulty out here is that every green is surrounded by 2-3 bunkers so make sure you bring your sand wedge. The course is well maintained , especially in the spring and early summer. Ives has a tendency to get dried out in later summer due to a lack of irrigation. The staff is friendly. The clubhouse is decent. We got out earlyish (6:50) played blue-red and didn't have to wait anywhere. We had great weather and enjoyed a fun round.

The course was in beautiful shape, especially for a muni. Fairways short and firm, greens were smooth and fast. Teed off at 11:00 with four, finished in 3.5 hours, never ran into another group.

As dry as it has been the course was in very good shape. Going in the middle of the day with a high of 90 there was no one in front of me until the 16th and they were moving well.

We started early morning when there was much dew on the ground. They had freshly cut the fairways and rough. This made for good play. As the sun came out, the greens got faster and a little more difficult. Because of the time of play for us, we managed to finish the Blue Red course in under three hours. This was terrific.

The course itself is pretty good. A lot of bunkers, so it makes you keep it on a tight line. So the course itself is a pretty good course. The only issue is how they send people out. My tee time was for 10:30, and didn't tee off until 10:40 due to the amount of people. Made the turn, and there were already two groups waiting on Blue #1. I was part of a twosome...and we both hit it decent and don't take a lot of time. It took us 5 hours to play 18 with a cart. The marshall was on the course, telling people to speed up the pace which was nice. But waiting about 10 minutes on every tee box was annoying, and this is when we had another twosome join us after Blue #1.

Greens and tee boxes were great shape. The course played long from the blue tees. Got a good deal on GolfNow. Would go again.

I've loved the course and its terrain and fescue hazards over many years so I was excited to play for such a great golfnow price. I booked as a single as did someone else and we were over 15 min early so they made us ride together since we checked in at same time. They said we couldn't have separate carts because they needed the carts for a big outing. Sounds legitimate until we see a single rider 3-2 holes behind us. Us two got first 9 done in 1 1/2 hours but took 3 hours for back nine because they let other twosomes start on that nine ahead of us. We were courteous and appropriate to have that group join us, but were much slower. The two of us with separate carts could have decided to play together or separate and not slowed any play seeing that there were not groups before us. Sometimes people choose to golf alone to work on parts of their game during the round and be professional enough to not hinder pace. I understand when circumstances mandate that, but to be inconsistent and not applicable to the reality of the number of golfers when teeing off , of which there were none , was unprofessional. Otherwise the round was great and I'm thankful that Ives grove offered the times and rates on golfnow. Thank you for the format.

Excelent shape.Very slow play, 4 older gentlemen wouldn't let 2 guys playing from the blues in a cart, go through. Personally, I think this takes away from the game. So many, so called golfers have zero edicate.

The course was in great shape. The greens were awesome. Played 18 holes in 3.5 hours.

With having 3 nine holes red, white and blue. I assumed we would play blue to red. Not the case though. Was not impressed with the white 9 holes but I will give it another chance

Course is good for walking as there are not too many hills, but there are enough hazards to make it interesting.

A summer like day in early Spring must have been the reason all our golf balls searched for sand. The balls wanted to be on the beach? This course has more sand than your typical public course. With 3 nines it can give you variety too. Played White and Blue.

I played Ives Grove in Racine yesterday. Very very friendly staff,fun course with excellent greens,tee boxes and sand traps.

I've played a few rounds here this year and the course was in great shape. During the week it's not too crowded and you can usually play as a single or twosome without getting paired up with other people. The pace of play has been very good. Great value for price paid.

The worst golf experience of my life. The play was slow, but to be expected late in the day on a weekend.
A season pass holder (Tom) continually hit into our party. Very disappointing the course ranger allowed such behavior.
Would not recommend Ives Grove to anyone.

For me, I like to have good environment to play golf. Ives grove is next to the highway , and in the course there are not a lot of trees lakes. It's like playing in the "desert ".

Really surprised!!! I played on a Monday afternoon. Pace of play was excellent. Course was in good condition.. Greens could be better if golfers would repair ball marks..

I thought the course was a maze. Three 9holes courses.too confusing.
