Had a great round here. Although the wind was a bit more forceful than we would normally prefer, my son and I had a great time. Originally had a late morning Tee time but an unexpected appointment popped on my schedule. Got there nearly an hour and half sooner to putt around and the course Marshall managed to find a spot for us to play sooner. Worked out great and got all 18 in.
The course is making some improvements but really didn’t effect play. Pace of play was great even though we were behind a group of 6 mad up of half walkers and riders. No complaints here since we called an audible ourselves!
One of my favorites in Kankakee County. Great challenge for an average for an average golfer. Lots of fun to play.
So challenging and fun
I haven’t played here in decades and the greens are still as slippery as ever. You have to know the course a bit if you want to score well. Can’t wait to play again.

Fu challenging course
Great variety of holes. Short, long, dogleg left, dogleg right. Bring all of your clubs. Once on the greens, hope your break reads are on!
Superb Course for the price
The Elk's CC was in excellent condition from tees to the green. Greens were well-maintained and manicured. Greens were exceptionally fast though, making putting challenging.
Perfect fall day
Excellent conditions for early fall. Greens were still fast as usual. Not many leaves on the greens. Enjoyable day.
Hidden Gem
Short but tough…green complexes are the challenge on this course.
Greens were running around a 9, but because of the undulations, the challenge exists!
