Great Atmosphere, Great Value
I always enjoy my trips to Raven Rock.
Almost every hole is unique in some way, and the staff does a great job spacing the tees out to give players the ability to decide for themselves how difficult they want to play it.
The staff and owners are wonderful and friendly, and the course is in great shape for being built up in the mountains on an old coal mine.
If I lived a little closer, I’d be a member.
Mountain joy
This course is such a pleasant surprise tucked in the valley and on top of the mountain. I’m only a beginner but as a local this course is the one I’m most accustomed to. Plenty of variety of holes, with simple and not so simple par 3s, as well as long par 4s and 5s that bend on around the mountain. My father who is not a golfer tagged along for my latest round, and was very surprised at the beauty and interesting layout of the course he had lived nearby for so many years but hadn’t had the pleasure of viewing in full.
Great looking course.
Went on a bad day. Way to many people. Other golfers being rude such as coughing loudly when driving up to the hole and saying stuff about the shots my wife took
We left at 8 holes. We had to wait so long and the guys in back of is were rude.
Other than that great course.
Beautiful course
A beautiful and challenging 18 hole course in eastern Ky. This was my 3rd time playing it this year. Course is well maintained and in great shape. Only issue was we caught up with a group of 6, therefore the pace was very slow so had to skip hole #9 in order to get ahead of them on back 9.
Beautiful!!!
Drove from Columbus Ohio for Lexington golf trip, due to massive e rain fall, we ended up a lot further south to avoid rain. The course had recently lost clubhouse to a fire, but had a very nice trailer set up for temporary use...all the shirts, balls, etc... and staff was super nice. The views on this course we absolutely stunning!! There were a very small amount of spots in rough shape, but very early in the season, so expected... course was challenging and, again, the views were breathtaking... will definitely be back!!
