Raven Rock Golf Course

Love this course. Plan on going very frequently. Rumors of the course no longer using Golf Now after November has me concerned. Would prolly affect my going there. This is one of the perks of this course.

Had a good time today playing golf. It has excellent scenery with a lot of wildlife. I saw 3 deer. It is quiet and peaceful.

Good round of golf, employees all nice as they could be. Looking forward to going back

Thank God I got a Hot Deal on this one. My buddy that joined me had to pay $50 to get on with me today. Hard pan fairways, bunkers were like cement, and the greens are in atrocious shape. You’re better off burning your money before you try this place.

There are many courses around that are less expensive and much better. You'll be disappointed. It is a strip job golf course with a lot of quirks, scrub brush, lack of maintenance, and little to offer. In that area you will want to play Stone Crest, Cedar Hill, Wasioto Winds.

This was a fine $20-$25 course, but after the recent price increase, I will just drive to Stonecrest. Drop the price and I'll be back.

This was my first time playing Raven Rock and I was pleasantly surprised . This course has been placed on an unclaimed strip mine. The best way to describe this course is target golf! If you can hit the fairways, you will have a great day. The second cut rough is deep. The tee boxes are fun as the tee marker are paineted pieces of coal. The only negative are the greens. Lots of fungus and dark spots make the greens roll very slow. Nonetheless, I would play again! Very fun! The best part is the staff. A gentleman came out to tell us to have a great round and everyone in the clubhouse were very friendly. One thing to note- No driving range.

This course has come a long way in one year. Everything looks great. Nice course, nice views, new clubhouse layout and great staff as always.

Course was wet from the recent rains and probably should have been cart path only. Some of the greens have been treated for a fungal infection and are recovering but still in pretty good shape.

The only concern about this course is that having a marshal for keeping people from starting on the back nine or playing with groups more than four would be nice. Both can be a little frustrating

Overall, a good day.

Raven Rock is a relative short course that demands accurate shots, there is not much room for error. Most of the time you are in the fairway or you have a lost ball. Its fun to play. There are several upgrades happening such as a new restaurant coming, the sand bunkers are getting much needed attention, and probably within the next month, the course will be in great condition. The greens were very slow but we have had rain, however they were slow before the rain. Once the greens are in shape, the course in a good test for your golf game.

First time playing great lay out would love to play again.
