Dumas Memorial Golf Course

Really enjoyed playing this course. Several people were in front of me so I asked if I could start on the back nine. That worked great, as nobody was pushing me. By the time I got to the front nine, no hangups there either. The greens need a little work but otherwise the course was in good shape.

The course is in horrible condition. No grass on any of the greens. The fairways were not cut This course has a lot of potential if BREC would spend some money instead of stealing from the public

Course was wet, and still needs more grass to grow in. That will come soon. Enjoyed round

Course was in fairly good condition except for dormant grass that is suppose to add character to course but is a waste because many golfers spend a lot of time looking for their balls. Course would be better served if rough was lowered so golfers could fine their balls and move on.

Course has a nice layout, just need some adjustments to fairways, greens and tee-boxes. Greens are bare in too many places and are not consistent as a result. Fairways has poor drainage and large holes where a sprang ankle can occur if not paying attention. Par three tee boxes grass is too tall and ground is too hard to place a teel

As my golf buddies say, we still have to make the shots on any type of course, and we are known to play any type of course. Great layout! I wish BREC would spend some money to upgrade this course and have very good fairways and greens. The layout is very challenging, just needs a lot of TLC. I will play it again, BREC needs to spend some money and this course could rival some of the other local courses.

Rough need to be tone down a bit. Very difficult to manage when not able to carry rough. Course would be better serve with out so called rough. Course is long enough with out rough. Not a beginner friendly course.

Great little couse. Very scenic, but a couple holes where having work done on them and messed up a couple of my shots. We had to skipp whioe one and come back and finish it at the end becaus e of the repairs. We also played in the middle of the week so i dont mind the repairs, they half to do them some time. Club house is great and the staff is very friendly. Overall I enjoy playing this couse, this was my 4th time playing it. I definitely recommend the course.

The course is a goat ranch, weeds in fairways about every kind of grass you can think of in fairways and greens need some serious work. Had to have two carts replaced. The first one broke down on the first hole and the next one made it to the 8th hole. For the money I got what I paid for.

BREC has a few courses and after work on this course the past year or two it has a nice mix of difficulty and openness. Everyone flocks to the course in the middle of town (Webb), but the value is better here and it's rare that it is slow play

Beautiful setting it is a shorter course that is layed out for a challenge with nice rolling greens...had a blast playing here

Dumas is an old course but worth the price. The greens are looking much better and rolling good.

We were looking for course to play on way home to Shreveport didn't want to spend a lot. My husband is a scratch golfer so he was very hesitant when we first got to Dumas, but even he said it was better than he thought after we were finished. Grass was cut recently so we had no trouble finding balls. Greens weren't superb but they weren't the worst we've ever played. Yes they were a little rough. Lot of geese everywhere so had to watch for droppings all day. Sunny and no one in front of us so we played 18 in under 3 hrs! $40. 2 people. Great.

The course was like a marsh. Lost several balls plugged in the middle of the fairways. Course should have been closed. Should have asked for a raincheck.

I've played Dumas about 3 times this year and it's always a good experience. Weather was great and pace of play wasn't that bad as the course was not packed. There however were leaves and that made for losing balls without putting them in the woods or water even easier. The green on #1 was under some sort of repair work, but i did birdie it from the white tees so can't really complain.
