Greens rough but have improved.
Fairways need more grass.

Great cool day @ The Pines. Our home course. Close to the house and reasonably priced!

i am 17 years old. the first time i was there they refused to give me a cart after i paid. which forced me to walk…
the greens are pitiful and tee boxes are nonexistent.
course is also super tight. i almost got hit 2 different times in the same day
if you want to play a terrible course for 20$

Very Poor
I’ll start by saying I know this course is cheap and you get what you pay for. If you enjoy golf in any way shape or form stay away. No grass on course, tee boxes look like sand traps, greens look like a mine field. The people who “play” here that are wearing cut off jeans and a Dale Earnhardt tee shirt have absolutely no idea how to conduct themselves on a golf course. Worst course I’ve ever been to.

Drought
This is probably not a fair review for my first time there because we are in the middle of a severe drought. The course has no watering capabilities and as such much of the grass was dead. The fairways were hard-pack, so I did get lots distance with the roll. However most of the tee boxes here hard dirt with no grass. I was timidly using my driver for fear of damaging it. It may take some time for the turf to recover if it ever starts raining again.
Looking good
Course is in really good shape considering the lack of rain. Only real issue is the tee boxes are hard dirt now. Greens are in really decent condition especially for the drought we are in. Nice layout, very much enjoy playing here with my son. We always have a great time! The staff is always so friendly, it is rare that you have someone out on the course actually say hi and ask how you are doing. Super nice place.
