Course is ok
This course needs some work. Several bunkers were mud traps and had very little sand. Others had ruts from washing. There are holes in the course and by the greens from digging. The greens were in great condition but that’s about it. The pro shop doesn’t have much to offer at all. I know it’s been a rainy season but other courses in the area have sand in their bunkers and not mud. It’s 2019, update the course and the pro shop. Offer other products worth buying other than golf balls. Fix the cart paths.
Chris, thanks for the 5-stars and choosing Wedgewood Golf Course! Come back soon. #WedgewoodGC
Challenging golf course
Very challenging for a beginner. The greens are sneaky with sloppy fronts. The fairways are in good shape, but trees, water, and woods are punishing if you miss them. The par 3's are guarded by water or trees...only one of them is easy. Overall I love this golf course, because I love a challenge.
Fall golf
It was cart path only due to the recent rains. But the course was in very good shape. Greens have been sprayed green for winter, they were rolling true and pretty quick. About 10 on level putt. Played the blue tees, so wasn't too tough, if, you know the hole direction. Pace of play, even with cart path only was good. I'm planning on doing a return trip next weekend, weather permitting.
Good value
Course in good condition, fast greens, good value with hot deal. Only problem was 5+ hour round (Saturday afternoon).
Tight
This is a beautiful course, fairways were a little tight, but not as bad as some other courses. Really need to leave ball in the fairway or not too far from it. I slowed down my back swing, I was nailing shots the rest of the way.
Played for first time
Found the course to be in excellent shape. Fairways were to a uniform height allowing for good roll and the ball to set up. The greens were some of the smoothest I've ever played with many subtle breaks. Truly enjoyed the round and look forward to play here again.
Excellent course!
2 holes are under construction but still playable. The rest is in very good condition.
Perfect Greens
Best Greens in the area by far. Fun Course. Very friendly staff. Do yourself a favor and book this course.
Great layout
Most greens were very good. Most fairways were really good. 1 hole was under construction. Will return.
Greens were fast and true
Two holes were shortened to par 3s while they do some work but otherwise the course was in great shape and the free Jell-O shots from the golf outing didn’t hurt either: I place this course regularly, great value and a fun course.
Fun layout, OK conditions, good value
I think you’ll have fun playing here. The holes aren’t on top of each other, and you play a variety of clubs on the holes. You maneuver around some lakes and creeks and there are some elevation changes.
Two holes play as Par 3 as there is major construction work on the creek. And we played in the off-season, so lies were brown and tight. Greens were great, though - firm and fast!
