Nice course on a deal
We paid 37.00 and for that price it's a nice course. Staff was friendly and pace of play was good. Narrow fairways demand a good tee shot. Greens were in good condition. Overall good course for the money
Water Water Everywhere
The weather conditions definitely came into play on the day we played this course, the course is challenging enough but 15mph winds maid things very tough. There are many holes that favor a right hand fade and lots of water which also complicates things for my game. Most of the greens are turtle back which requires you to land the ball soft to be able to putt and very hard greens did not help either. There are large ditches that also run the length of many fairways which detracts from the overall look and play of the course. All in all I might consider coming back but not at the top of my favorites list.
The course was scenic.
Played in March so the grass was dead, so the ball didn't roll much. Weather was great, in the sixtys so course was crowded and play was slow.
Springtime golf
Visited course on a cold day, high 49 degrees. Lots of wind. Brown fairways and painted greens, but to be expected this time of year. Driving range nice but right next to first tee, so any tee shot left, very difficult finding your ball. Sand traps were difficult but the sand was very nice to hit out of. Was a very windy day and there is trouble to be found if you don't hit it straight. Could imagine how pretty the course would be when the fairways are green! A good experience all around
Greens are great
Love playing this course. Staff is always great. The course is in great shape. Best Greens in the area.
Tight, challenging course in excellent condition and a friendly staff.
Showed up as a single, was politely paired with another single. Guided nicely to all facilities as this was my first visit. Course was fairly tight, but was in excellent condition. Rough was brutal and a good amount of water. Punished hard for bad shots, but well-rewarded for good ones.
Course OK
Course in fine shape for fall, greens a little slower than usual, some unwanted muddy areas around greens.
This course will challenge the average golfer
As one that shoots in the mid 90's, this course can be challenging. I'm not saying to not play it, I'm saying that it can definitely improve your game if you don't lose your composure (or all your golf balls in the kudzu) Every hole challenges you to think about your every shot. There is no "gimme" holes. I loved it.
Not worth the money or the 5 hr pace of play.
The staff is not courteous at all.
The marshall is a joke, pace of play is unbelievably slow.
Way over priced for the course.
Would not reccommend.
Decent short course
Played there 4-5 times recently - easy to get backed up and have the dreaded 4-5 hour rounds. Usually I play 3 hours per round tops for a 2 or 3 ball.
Lots of short par 4's, some very good par fives. Back 9 well laid out to encourage keeping the driver in the bag and to stay in the fairway.
Price not bad but a little on the high side
