Great course!
Wedgewood and North Creek are sister courses in Desoto County MS. They are known for their well maintained fairways and fast undulating greens.
Wedgewood is more difficult (comparing white tees - white tees) than North Creek for bogey golfers as you have more narrow fairways and some trouble that requires good shot placement and some thought into club selection - driver is not always the right tee club here.
I love to play both courses as the staff is friendly and the pace of play during the week and after noon on Saturdays is usually very good.
Wedgewood is a challenging course especially from the blues or the tips but not so difficult that a casual player can't have a good time.
The greens were recently aerated and sanded when I played on July 28 2016. They are starting to smooth out, but are still somewhat sandy and slow - not unplayable, but not their usual fast and true. Wedgewood is good about posting maintenance alerts on GolfNow. The greens at Wedgewood are known for their speed and with the rains we had over the weekend, they should be back to crazy fast in the next week.

A fantastic course
Absolutely great service from start to finish. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape with really fast greens and they were consistent on all of the holes. We played the blues which offers some realistic eagle opportunities on some of the par 5s but don't go above the pin or the greens will make you pay for it. Just enough slope coupled with the speed of greens keep it challenging. Will play again if I'm in the area.

Windy Sunday afternoon at Wedgewood
It's worth the short drive from Memphis! Wedgewood's 18 holes are located in a nice neighborhood area. Plenty of water hazards come into play, so accurate shots are important, especially with the wind blowing so strong this fall. Fairways and greens are well maintained.
I'd come back if I am in the area.

Slow play
Play was extremely slow. At times I had to wait 15-20 minutes between shots. I didn't even play the back 9 because there were three groups of 5 players ahead of me.

The course is great. Probably the best greens you'll putt on when playing a public course. However, you forget the great greens when you get stuck behind the groups of 5. I always get behind them & when I call to complain the response is "there's nothing they can do." My round turns into 4:40. I don't go back.

Nice course but horrendously slow
Fun course, but not so fun to play because it was either too congested or pace of play was not actively managed by a course staff/Marshall. Pace was horrendously slow.

Great course just south of Memphis.
The course was in great shape today. I have read previous problems of pace of play and I was very pleased with the staff at Wedgewood. The Marshall calling names and pairing people as well as reminding everyone the pace of play helped things flow. The weather was great and helped make the day even more enjoyable. Bring your putting A game because the greens are firm and fast.

Nice Layout
I played from the back tees and found it to be a challenging layout. Demanding tee shots and difficult par 3's. I thought the greens were in good shape and rolled true. However, the cups looked as if they had not been changed in quite a while. The edges on most were very jagged. Also, the bunkers were terrible. I think part of that problem is that the rakes are cheap and do not do a very good job of raking the sand. Therefore, nobody seems to rake them. Overall, a good layout that I will play again.

Good value.
Low price when Hot Deal is available.
Greens roll nicely. Good variety of shots if not playing front tees. Fairways are generous with limits that can be penal.
I will go back and play Wedgewood again.

Fun but challenging course
Overall the course is in great shape. The challenge at this course is not the distance, it's how narrow some of the holes are. If you have a hard time keeping it straight off the tee you might find yourself losing several balls at this course. I found the greens to be faster than what I'm used to and it took me a few puts to figure out the speed. Overall a good course and I would definitely play again.

Best public course in the area
This course is in excellent condition. The greens are very fast and true. The course overall is extremely challenging. You will use every club in your bag. Not for the beginner.
