Hot deal
Had a hot deal on this while I was in traverse city the resort is awesome. This course creates great strategy golf which is interesting.
Perfect course as always
The front nine is as much challenge as you want depending on the tees you choose, while the back 9 is less challenging but after the front nine you are ready to have fun. Very enjoyable, have played often and will play more in the future.
The staff was very friendly and helpful to any questions we had. The course was in great shape and we enjoyed our round of golf the the scenic views of the area.
2 very slow 2somes
Course is great. 2 older couples both playing slow and not playing ready golf. Makes for long waits on a hot day.
Hidden Gem
Spruce is the oldest of the three courses here at GT Resort so it gets overlooked. Course is in amazing shape and is challenging without being brutal like The Bear.
Give it a chance you might be surprised.
Very enjoyable experience
The staff and amenities at this resort are excellent. The Spruce Run 18 was a good challenge for a group of moderate handicap couples. The fairways are immaculate and the greens were fast and challenging. The outdoor dining for lunch was also excellent - both service and food. We had a very enjoyable experience.
Put our foursome behind a Sunday morning golf tournament
They/You put us immediately behind a Sunday morning golf tournament?! We were 3 1/2 hours into 10 holes when I asked the starter to go pack to hole 1 and play the front again. Ridiculous!!!!!
Resort course that feels like a good muni
Played here after the Bear. Definitely not as upscale as the Bear or in as pristine condition, but after getting beat up on that course it was more than welcome to play Spruce. Still a fun layout with some interesting holes. Greens were far more approachable, the course was not as long and wind did not come into play as much. Good amount of elevation changes, doglegs, bunkers, and water. Still about 25% overpriced for the experience. Not a bucket list course, wasn't really affordable either at $80/round.
Very enjoyable
I loved the course layout, which provided a good variety of long and short holes, straight and doglegs, challenging par 3s.
Great golf!
I played this for the second time. Staff was very friendly this time as opposed to the last starter that had an authority issue.
Course was perfect from all the rain. Greens are somewhat small and very fast. Don’t get above the hole.
Cart guys were great as was all the staff.
This pro shop is one of the best I’ve seen. There line if golf attire is second to none. Very good job by the buyers.
