Sandy Creek Golf Course
About
Sandy Creek Golf Course in Monroe, Michigan is one of the area's most popular public courses. With weekend walking rates less than $30, it's also one of the most affordable rounds you'll find. The pretty landscaping and meticulous conditioning of the layout nearly mask the terrain's former use as farmland. The century-old oak and maple trees that frame many of the holes add to the course's beauty while also demanding accuracy. Several ponds and a meandering creek come into play on six holes and you'll also find wetlands and marshes along the perimeters. The bunkering is sparse but strategically placed along the greensides and bordering the landing zones. The golf course finishes with a hole that is both scenic and challenging. The tee shot will have to clear the creek to make it to the undulating green that sits right in front of the Sandy Creek clubhouse.

A real nice course.
My 1st trip to Sandy Creek but hopefully not my last. A real nice course with a friendly staff from the cart guys to the snack bar ladies. Course was in fine shape and while not real difficult there are plenty of places to get in trouble. Local knowledge would have helped on a few of the holes, #9 for one. But it makes me want to try again soon now that I have better understanding of the course.
Decent
Tees were thick and lush, greens were quick, fairways were ok, first cut of rough was ROUGH. the rough was just thick enough to bury your ball and with leaves falling, made it much more difficult to locate your ball at times.
recommend playing this course with someone who has played it before because the course markings arent the greatest. three colored stripes on a wooden post to indicate distance away, and some posts were lying flat on the ground.
not bad for the golfnow cost!
Wide Open
The course plays pretty wide open. Even some tee shots that I mishit had decent plays into the green. I played on a wet day with light rain so the course was not busy. Very nice greens
one of the best greens i have played this year
the course was in great shape really enjoyed it I will be back
Challenging and yet playable.
Nicely maintained course with not too many hazards.
