The course was in pretty good shape for November. The big problem was that they overbooked the course. People were leaving because of the wait. Our tee time was pushed back 30 minutes so we were unable to finish our round. Not the way to treat repeat customers.
Start Time/Pace of Play
I had a 11:44 tee time and did not tee off until 12:30. They allowed the 11:28 tee time group to hold up all other parties who were present until 11:55 when they finally tee’d off. Then the 11:28 group proceeded to take 30 min to finish the 1st hole. This pace continued through 4 holes until we asked to play through. We never seen a Marshall come around to check on pace of play. We ran into another group in the back 9 that kept an extremely slow pace while they searched for balls and walked from shot to shot. They would not allow a single player in front of us to play through. Again, no Marshall looking over place of play the entire round. Normally I’d expect 18 holes to take 4 hrs but it took about 6 hours.
Surprisingly challenging.
Pins were set in challenging places. The course was in good shape for the fall. Not too easy and not too hard for a bogey golfer.
Willow
The price was right but the course could use some work.
Most Affordable Metro Park in SE MI
Willow Metro is a really fun design that uses dog legs and protected and undulated greens to demand precision both from tee and approach. Just hitting a GIR does not guarantee a par as I 3-putted four holes. I found the greens very challenging to read.
I paid $30 for Sunday late morning which seems like a good deal.
Willow Metro
Tee boxes were in bad shape and pace of play was very slow. 4 hours 50 minutes for the round.

This is a wonderful golf course which never disappoints!
Great value
For $24 played 9 holes with a cart. Course was challenging, great shape, greens were awesome. Carts came with a side wash for clubs and balls, which is a great amenity to have to ensure your clubs are ready for every hole. Cant wait to come back when my game is better, the narrow fairways are me up!
Booking too many golfers
We checked in for our reserved tee time and then two individuals walked up to see if they could play with no reservation and the guy behind the counter told them to hurry to go tee off in front of us. Needless to say, we missed our tee time by ten minutes. If this wasn't bad enough, as we were making the turn to start the back nine, we were cut off by a foursome that was there just to play a twilight nine. We asked why they were allowed to cut in front of us, but got no response.
Nice
The course is solid. I like the views and the it seems well kept. They overbooked my tee time so pace of play was less than desirable. Cart speed was very low and as unimportant as it is to the actual game, it’s convenient. Aside from those two things I enjoyed my round of golf.
