Quality track, incredibly nice Marshals/Starters
30 years ago my parents built three homes on this golf course. Mom passed in that last one which was on the tricky 16th green. I didn't play much golf in those days but do now. This trip to SV was to play their old course and remember them. In the hallway to the pro shop there's a wall with typical club champion plaques from years gone by. There's also some hole in one acknowledgements. I found Mom's name on one. :) The first time around I parred the hole with the first house and birded the hole with the last home. Mom and Dad get the credit there.
The course is in good condition. Greens are soft and receptive. Unfortunately, the resulting deep ball marks are not always addressed by players so greens can occasionally have an extra challenge. Overall they are fast and roll true. Sand traps are maintained but hard and thin. Often not racked by players after play from there. Pace of play was consistently good over the last month we've been playing here. It is a public track so new players and new to this course can be slow. Rare situation in our experience. Practice range is top notch. Monitors with flight info after every shot and more are available. 3 small putting greens. I'd suggest combining the 2 near the range.
Finally the staff. All were kind and professional. Always welcoming. Starters made sure you had some course knowledge before hitting the first tee.
All in all our 4 weeks in Sierra Vista were made infinitly better because of our time on this course. Thank you to everyone.
The course is in good shape.
A Homecoming Round
Almost 30 years ago my parents built 3 homes on this course. Mom and Dad were avid golfers then as I am now. I never played this course with them back in the day which I now regret immensely. Today was a gorgeous day. Recent late season monsoon rains had the course green and soft. Before playing we found Mom's name on plaque listing ladies who had a hole-in-one in years past. It was quite a feeling seeing her name still there some 26 years after her passing. She loved this game and this course. Dad sprinkled her ashes around the course. So today they both were invited to ride along with us and show us the way. Mom helped my wife to her best round ever. Dad let me struggle a bit. :). It was a glorious day that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Thank you to a great staff that were so welcoming.
Awesome course
First time playing the course. 5 star experience, course was in great shape, ever person we came in contact with were very polite and welcoming from the person that checked us in, the starter and cart girl. Met the manager and you could tell he was proud of the course. Eat at the restaurant after our round and the food and service was excellent. We plan on returning in a few weeks.
They will put 5 players together last week they had 8 players together which is come on!! Talk about pace of play!!

🌿 Golf Course Review: A Hidden Gem for First-Timers and Relaxation
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
Condition: Lush greens, perfectly maintained
Price: Very reasonable — great value
I had such a wonderful time here. As a first-time female golfer. I was a little nervous, but the course was absolutely perfect — all green, clean, and really well-kept. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I got paired with a great group that made the day even more enjoyable. The pace of play was comfortable, and I never felt rushed.
What surprised me most was how relaxing the whole experience was. I came looking for a fun outing and left feeling like I’d just had a full day of self-care. It wasn’t just about golf — it was about being outdoors, unwinding, and connecting.
I’ll definitely be back — this course is a new part of my wellness routine.
Superb
First time visiting Sierra Vista and enjoyed playing this course! Superb condition from tee to green. Clearest pond water I’ve ever seen on a golf course. Greens mostly flat but rolled true. Friendly staff and wonderful driving range facility.

The Great Pueblo DelSol Golf Course
As always the employees, the players, and the golf course have been very good to play with anyone. I always go there to play by myself and play with someone else that I have not met before and it always feels like you have been playing with them before because of the friendship that they have with me to each other’s. The golf course is always fun to play with anybody and if you want to practice with a fast green then I highly recommend this course.
The course with 2 different 9s
Overall, the greens are bent grass in excellent condition if you like lightening fast. Lots of suttle breaks and downhill putts are close to impossible if outside 6 ft.
The greens are moderate to small in size.
The smaller ones are very difficult to hold unless you hit sky high irons or chips.
Front 9 is shorter and has moderate difficulty.
Back 9 holes are much more difficult with lots of trouble with trees, bunkers and narrow fairways. Lots of course knowledge and consistency of drives and irons a must.
Both 9s fairways are in good to great condition.
On my day of play the pace was very slow on the back 9 with 2 groups waiting at most every tee box.
Overall the course would be go to course for value and playing conditions on days when it was not busy.
Nice course
Nice course in good shape. Fast greens.
Nitpick: 19th hole beer a bit expensive especially when you do not have some kind of city coupon thing and have to pay more if you do not have it. Irritating.
HIDDEN GEM
Made the drive down from tucson and it was 100% worth it. For the price tag, this course might be the best value in AZ. Facilities are outstanding. Staff is SUPER friendly. The course conditions are very good but could be a little better. Layout isn’t the most exciting but still varies from hole to hole. This is now part of my normal rotation of courses. Huge Shoutout to whoever runs this place, you’re doing great.
Sunday Funday
5 hour round is way too much. They need more monitors monitoring pace of play. Other than that love the range and the high tech features it had available.
