Blind par 3 was fun! Photo submitted by Logan5691443 on 08/23/2020
Friendly staff
Tees and fairways in decent shape but greens are bumpy. They have been sanded and look to be mending. Fun course with a crazy 200 yard blind par three. Tiny, crested, elevated greens are what make this course a challenge.
Old course, nice layout.
Good value for nice layout, average conditions. Very friendly staff.
Fun
I Like this course and it is a nice location, you can play this course in good time in the center of the course is the Oak knoll you play the front 9 around it. The back9 has alot of shade with the airport next to it.
Give more option
GolfNow You should give customers the option of walking vs riding. The round was really nice
Very nice course
Oak knoll is a very new ce course to play! Course is in pretty good condition but greens are being sanded right now! Play was a little slow due to 4 groups of 5 playing in front of me, but once I played thru, play was steady! I'll definitely play here again!
Beautiful Day!
Course was in great shape. Was a little windy, but weather was perfect. Didn't even work up a sweat. Pace was great though we ran into a 5 some last 3 holes, slowed down but still can't complain. Had a great time!
Poor management
Absolutely the worst pace of play I've ever experienced.
No management of tee times or grouping, no marshall making sure people stay at good pace. Lots of selfish members who take 10 minutes looking for a ball , then throw one in the fairway to hit.
Only reason I play it is bc 15$ hot deal, and it's 5 minutes from house.
Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. Can't waste another round out there.
Improvements!
Course condition is fair but its still early. Grass just starting to thicken up... Good sand (not compacted) in most bunkers. Improvements include: New carts, new pins, new bridges, yardage markers in driving range, AND new pro Mike Howes! Blind tee shot on #4 is fun. Be advised, fivesomes are fairly common.
Stately and quaint
It's an older course, a little gem really, hidden in a Louisiana woodsy neighborhood. The par 3's are more memorable than the rest, an old clubhouse but nice, the whole course feels romantic even, like a southern charmer to me coming from the northwest. I really like it a lot and if they tend to the details such as fairway leaves raking and mowing, it will be wonderful.
GREAT STAFF, RESERVATION ALREADY SET IN THEIR
COMPUTER. NO PROBLEMS
old school course, small greens but fun.
loved playing this course, this not TPC , but old school course like jack and the late arnie probably learned golf on. you have to plan shots and use different clubs. I wish they would do one thing on this course. have more visible yardage markers. great value.
A wonderful Open Country Club
I very much enjoyed playing at Oak Knoll CC this summer. I discovered it on the Golfnow App and was pleasantly surprised to discover a true club that was open to the public. The fairways are challenging enough as well as the greens. Most of the fairways and greens were in nice condition throughout the summer. In addition to the course, there is an open bar with very reasonable pricing, and very helpful to provide a cooler with ice just like most of the private clubs I have played. This is one of the best values in Louisiana when desiring a pleasant outing. Of course the club fees are very reasonable as well and offer a month to month rate.
