Oak Knoll Country Club

It's an older course, a little gem really, hidden in a Louisiana woodsy neighborhood. The par 3's are more memorable than the rest, an old clubhouse but nice, the whole course feels romantic even, like a southern charmer to me coming from the northwest. I really like it a lot and if they tend to the details such as fairway leaves raking and mowing, it will be wonderful.

loved playing this course, this not TPC , but old school course like jack and the late arnie probably learned golf on. you have to plan shots and use different clubs. I wish they would do one thing on this course. have more visible yardage markers. great value.

I very much enjoyed playing at Oak Knoll CC this summer. I discovered it on the Golfnow App and was pleasantly surprised to discover a true club that was open to the public. The fairways are challenging enough as well as the greens. Most of the fairways and greens were in nice condition throughout the summer. In addition to the course, there is an open bar with very reasonable pricing, and very helpful to provide a cooler with ice just like most of the private clubs I have played. This is one of the best values in Louisiana when desiring a pleasant outing. Of course the club fees are very reasonable as well and offer a month to month rate.

Bring your short game because if you miss the greens u will need it. Course drains very well and greens always putt well. It definitely could use an influx of cash but u could say that about most courses in South Louisiana.

Staff fantastic. All aminties great. Greens in great shape. Different tee boxes challenge every level.

Recent rains left some standing water, which would sneak up out of nowhere.

We will certainly play again when drier.

Course was in great shape from all the rain we had. Thumbs up to the workes for keeping this course looking good and in great shape. I've been to a lot of courses in southeast La. Oak Knoll ratings should be up a little more.

I liked the course. The greens are very small and challenging to hit. The conditions were good. The only draw back for me was that the course was a little short. It plays 6100 yards from the tips. I will definitely go back to play this course.

The greens were in rough shape with sand all over them. We had a 5 some in front of us that slowed us down.

I last played this course a year ago. It was awesome, that's why I wanted to go back. Mistake. It cost me $45 to play on a way below par course. Should have went to Carter Plantation. I understand this area has got a lot of rain, but even Abita blows this place away. I will never go back unless the PGA tour makes a stop on this course. ( that way I'll know it lbs worth it)

I've played this course a few times, but course conditions are getting out of hand. Granted, we have had a lot of rain as of lately, but the conditions of the greens are horrible. Little to no "actual" grass on the greens. Mostly hard packed sand. the fairways are pretty decent though. The pro-shop smells like mildew all the time. With a little more grounds keeping, this course could be really nice.

Played course after it rained, so it was wet, ground needs to dry so they can mow grass. The greens was in real bad shape. A Lot of trees are in need of a manicure. Overall it seems like it could be a great course

Push up greens are always challenging here. Greens were a bit spotty due to our geoengineered spring but well worth the $25 twilight price.

The course has wide fairways and small elevated greens. Most greens are banked back to front. The greens were is good condition, a little slow, and the fairways were in good condition. Many small water hazards, some hidden. There is a 200 yard blind shot par 3 which is somewhat disconcerting, but just hit it between the trees which direct you toward the green. You have no idea where your ball is until you reach the green. An enjoyable experience overall.

Only got 9 holes in before we got caught by the rain. This was about the 3rd time I have played this course. This was the first time dealing with the gnats. Thankfully I had some insect repellent in my bag which helped. The greens are turtle backed and extremely fast. Last year on #18, if the putt didn't go in, it would stop, then start rolling back off the front, finally just had to pick up. We played Easter Sunday and there was no food or drink available as the clubhouse was closed.

Overall the course was in good condition although the greens were very firm and was difficult to ship or putt without running off the greens. There is no concessions for food just drink and snacks that is why I gave the food review a lower score but I didn't go there for a dining experience
I recommend that you play this course.

Normally this course drains extremely well. However, due to the recent monsoons the course was saturated. I doubt here was a course in south Louisiana playable but we had cabin fever and "hey" golf shoes are cheap now.
