About
The California Golf Course sits on land that slopes gently and offers a nice view of the Ohio River; however, this course ain't just pretty to look at, but laid out to play in a manner that will test seasoned golfers and welcome novices to the friendly golf course where the trees are old growth.
California Golf Course provides 18 holes of par-71 golf over 6,227 yards. A round of golf kicks off on a par-4 hole that plays to 367 yards from the Blue tees. Because this is one of Cincinnati's longer municipal golf courses, power golfers will appreciate the chance to open up their games a bit more, with about a third of the holes measuring over 400 yards from the Blue tees, including a pair of par-5 holes, the second and ninth holes.
As the California Golf Course is a municipal golf course, expect low rates, and those who can swing a round of golf during the workweek can expect them to be even lower.

Summer Temps Already Here!
Typical Cincinnati...spring immediately into summer. It was a GREAT day for golf. The course was in good shape and our round couldn't have been much better...

Slow pace
Played on a congested day. Took 5 hours to finish a round. Front 9 there was a high chance of getting hit into or by a balls. Back 9 were very pretty and well laid out.

Overall good time. Course was in decent condition. The clubhouse can use significant updating.

Awesome
We got off a little late because of the rain but didn’t really experience any delays. The course is in great shape, the rough around the green was a little thick which made it challenging which was great. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for fun and a challenge.

Beauty!!
We arrived early and had a great chat with Dennis, the starter. We drove about 5 hours from Canada to play as this week is our March Break. Course was in great shape for mid-March. We really loved the layout and enjoyed our day! Hope to be back in the fall 👊😎

Problems with GolfNow Customer Service
Hail/Sleet started roughly 50 minutes prior to our round. (followed by rain)I tried to reach someone in Customer Service @ GolfNow... to NO avail. First time to be aggravated by GolfNow...

Good fast firm greens - great value
Played for first time Nov 20. Greens were fast 10+) and firm, rolled true. Played back tees - from was short 3000, back 3,200 with 3 400 yd par fours. End of season so no food, minimal staff. Clubhouse is typical run down-ish mini, the golf now reservation was welcomed and seamless. Front moved great - 90 min. On 13 ran into a five some who were moving slow and really didn’t seem to care. So I played 13 and left. Let the guy in the clubhouse know and he didn’t care either - so maybe it’s the norm. For $25 incl cart it’s a great deal and decent muni track.

Solo day
I jumped in as a solo player. I was matched up with 3 others and had a great time. The place was busy but well managed. Pace of play impressed me. Good times all around.

Better if we were able to play
Our teatime is 1 o’clock and because the pace of play was so slow, we were only able to get nine holes in before an afternoon league started and we were kicked off the course. Maybe the last tee times they should have would be noon instead of 1 PM to allow people to finish up what they paid for
