Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

The course was in really bad shape. No fairways to speak of, greens were in bad shape as well.
Pace was extremely slow, and there were no marshals around to speed it up.
I feel like I wasted my money playing here.
Don’t play after rain
Visiting family in Franklin. I am from Florida, were year round golf is the norm, so I may have had higher than regular expectations for that price point in a round of golf.
No problem with booking tee time on a weekend, but after a day of heavy rain, the course was flooded. Not unplayable, but drenched. On the par 5 11th, there were literally geese swimming in a puddle on the fairway. I am used to muddy golf, and enjoy the aggressiveness of chip/pitch shots on a wet green, but this was a tad much.
I understand the course can’t control the weather, but would have like to have seen at least a warning that the course was almost completely unnavigable without rain boots.
For 40 dollars, you can play much nicer state parks in Tennessee.
Challenging treat
Even though it wasn’t spring, this course offered quite the challenge. 18 was long and difficult. Staff very friendly and accommodating for an out of town visitor. I will play here again when I come back to Nashville area. I look forward to playing when everything’s greener.
Needs work
Conditions were marginal. I’m sure the the course will be in better shape as spring comes but will never be a course that I would consider nice. Lots of course damage due to rain wash out areas. Weeds and unkept areas were an eyesore. Hoping I’m wrong regarding condition later in the season. The price was good.
Pretty nice
One of my gripes is, I went to play and have a little father son time. When we got there they had put another golfer with us to play at the same tee time. I was not aware of this before or we would have went to a different golf course.
Bad Carts
Had to call Pro shop to replace two golf charts on each nine that were running out of power.
This course is in terrible shape
Fairways were middle and in very poor shape. 3 holes had to be shortened to par 3’s they were in such bad shape. I will not be back.
Crossings in Franklin Tennessee
My wife & I stopped on Our way home from fl.
Found a gorgeous property which had recently
suffered some flooding but when it drys out and
greens up ( Bermuda fairways)will show itself a
GREAT VALUE. Nice staff helpful & courteous.
Many tees can be enjoyed by even beginners and enough water carries to challenge the better player from the tips at nearly 7k in total length
One complaint. Who closes 19th hole at 5 on a 73 degree day in February!
going to play it a lot more
the greens putted great for this time of the year, it rain the night before it was cart path only fairways was soaked but still had a great time will be back to play it again
Winter gokf
Course layout could be challenging. Several up hill long holes. Pace was good after we got around a foursome that was taking 20 minutes a hole. Want to give it a go on the spring. Beautiful views and vistas. Recommend playing.
Had higher expectations.
The course was well maintained but the rough was higher than usual and tough to find balls. The golf carts shorted out twice and had to be replaced which cost us time, and the course was pretty backed up. It took us over 4.5 hours to play 18. I’ll play again but would hope a better experience.
Ok but slow
has challenge from green tees just to slow pace of play
Good Value, Nice Lunch Combo
Purchased the round on a Hot Deal. Overall a good experience. Well maintained course with nice greens. Pace moved quickly and Course Marshall was professional. Good lunch combo for $8.00.
Getting there
The course has improved somewhat, but has several holes with very unlevel tee boxes.
Decent course
Course is a good value with range balls and lunch included. Driving range was straight dirt which was a little disappointing. Course was in good shape and had some challenging holes. Would recommend if a hot deal is available.
