Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

Good overall value but very slow play
Course is in good shape but pace of play was very slow.
Layout
The course has a great layout with some challenging holes. It could stand to be manicured a bit more making it a great course. But for price and location, you can't beat it.
Ok course
Course was pretty good I guess but not worth the drive from Huntsville. Greens were in very bad shape for this time of year, fairways and tee boxes were ok. I don't see myself playing this course again.
challenging yet forgiving
This course is great, it has a little bit of everything. Can't wait to play it again.
Nice Course
Greens and fairways in great shape. Makes this a nice course to play.
Just Okay
The staff at the course was EXTREMELY friendly very nice and helpful. While the price was fair it was a bit much due to the courses conditions. The greens were mostly burnt and choppy and covered in sand. I understand to regrow properly this must be done however they should tell people this when booking a tee time. It was a fun time with whom we got paired with and beautiful weather all day long. Food in the clubhouse was very good as well.
Good course
Everything was good except had some slow players and seemed ranger was watching my group and one ahead of us but the problem was a slow two person scramble but all in all had fun and will go back
Beautiful and challenging
Forrest Crossing is a tough but fair course that offers a beautiful and interesting set of holes. Highly recommend.
Forrest Crossing Review
A nice course with enough challenges. Be prepared for a 5 hour round unless you are an early morning tee off.
Need to spend more money on this course
Great location, but course in bad shape. Doesn't appear that any money is being put back into course.
I try to find another place to play.
Must Play Course
Having never played a course in Tennessee, I was rather surprised to find this gem! Almost every hole had a water feature and you felt as if you found a secret garden with the lush fairways. I would recommend this course to anyone! Hole 9 is splendid.
Course conditions continue to spiral
I have been a very regular player here over the past three years. During this time, the course has continue to deteriorate. Fairways have major areas that are completely barren of grass. In highly regarded landing areas for tee shots, you now have to take an unplayable lie. Almost all of the greens on the back nine have a fungus that has created pot holes all over the green. Not a few here or there but literally hundreds on every green. American Golf has let the "cash cow" of a golf course continue to go downhill. It leaves many of us who have been playing this course sad for the course it once was.
Not bad
Course was in pretty good shape. Everything was cut really low so lots of roll on the fairways but also lots of tight lies. Greens were really fast and not all that receptive to approach shots.
Fun, enjoyable round
Overall a very good experience. Pace of play was much better than last time I played, and the condition of the course (especially the greens) was pretty good.
Food was very good and plentiful and the deal including green fees, range balls and lunch (with a drink - including a beer) is really nice.
I have played twice here now and will return.
Busy and worn
Played on a Thursday, course was packed and I heard from locals that was normal on good weather days. They were still calling tee time starts over the PA when I finished at 2:00! Course was in pretty rough shape, not enough watering, and considering the wet spring we had that's pretty sad. The greens were rock hard and fast as concrete. Never had to fix a single ball mark!
However, for a decent course in Nashville with free lunch combo you can't beat the price. Staff was nice and the food was good.
Greens in good shape, fairways not quite there yet
Greens were in good shape. Fairways are starting to come back.
Solid Place
Everything was in decent shape after a fair amount of rain this week. Course is starting to green up. There is some tough holes here, its all about placement, not too long of a course. Only had to hit driver on a couple holes. The deal thru golf now with meal, range balls and reduced green fees is on probably the best deal in the area for the price, very reasonable.
