Cheekwood Golf Club
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

Rough shape; now overpriced
Disappointing that Cheekwood continues to raise prices but has let the course go. Greens were in awful shape, with more brown than green on most. Areas around green are hard pan. Hard to justify $29 to play 9 holes at an executive that doesn’t keep the place up.
Course is in terrible shape
I’ve played this course a bunch and love that I can usually get a last minute tee time - that is the absolute benefit this course offers (as well as the practice chipping hole off to the left of the 1st tee box).
I know they are about to do a new course but MAN that doesn’t mean this course should fall off in priority - it has gone down the drain. Greens are super bumpy and sandy (and overall in terrible shape), tee boxes are hard as a rock and uneven/mostly dirt. For costing more than a Nashville Muni course, this should be AT LEAST as nice. Not even close.
It was never a pristine course but for how it is being kept up, it should be $10 for 9 holes and max $25 for 18. That would be areasonable price as a practice course to get your game in shape with an added fun layout that isn’t like a par 3 course.
Also, pace of play was very slow. For 50 bucks you should at least have a marshal making sure people aren’t hitting 3-4 balls consistently and playing so dadgum slow. All about taking your time and having a good time, but today was ridiculous.
I pre paid for 2 players and one only played. Contacting GN for a credit for 1 player. The greens are burnt and bald patches on the fairway. It’s not worth the regular price of $25-$30 for 9 holes
I understand they are under repair. However it like playing croquet at the current time. Wait a couple of months

Fun for Practice
A short course with tight fairways & precise landing targets, Cheekwood offers a quick tune-up for driving & short gams.
Great place. Very friendly people. Was playing from out of town and needed rental clubs. They were very accommodating. Perfect 9 hole course for a quick round of golf while on vacation in Nashville. (Only about 20-25 minutes out of the city.)
Great course for beginners
It was a great course for me, just starting up trying to get serious. The pace of play was somewhat average, due to the fact that most people were beginners or just not great, in both the pods in front and behind ours. They might want to add people to the front of the first hole to make sure things get moving on time, as we didn’t start until 20 minutes or so after our tee time, which may be normal, I am a beginner so I don’t know.
