Golfer Reviews
So much fun!
If you’ve ever been bored with the standard 4-8-4 layout, then this place is for you. The 6-6-6 layout with trouble on 14 of the 18 holes will keep you on your toes.
Greens were in good shape (a tad slow) and rolled true.
Overall made for a great day.
Should Be Better as the Poa Burns Out
Overall condition of the course was good. Tees, fairways, and bunkers were in good shape. Greens and collars were in poor shape. As for the collars and approaches, if they had been mowed recently, it was hard to tell. The greens were hit hard by poa which left them very bumpy. I am a greenskeeper at a local course. Our poa is burning out with the heat. However, I cannot help but think that the greens mower reels are dull and in need of a good grind. I plan on playing Copper Mill again later on this summer and am anticipating improvement.
I played well
It’s a fun course and unique layout. The 6, par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s is pretty cool. There is a pretty big difference between tips and second tees. The layout is nice and fairways are decent. Greens are ok but there was a good bit of poana on them. They do have a practice area but no range.

all we need is some new greens
This course is awesome. Cool layout, perfect combo of par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes. The greens here are so hard and unpredictable, that it can make or break a round. I was fortunate this time to have all the lucky breaks go my way, but several other times it has been the opposite. I have been told they are replacing the greens next year, and I believe once that is done, this will be a top tier course again.
Every one is friendly and helpful, the fairways are cut but the problem is the greens,so many clumps of grass growing on the greens no way to putt..
Unfortunate
This course used to be a premiere track in the state, I understand covid hurt a lot of courses but that was over 2 years ago. Greens are like putting through cabbage patches and the bunkers all hold water. Hope they can turn it around.
My favorite course in the area
This is a great course with an amazing lay out BUT the greens are in terrible shape. Really puts a damper on a great experience
Greens are past gone.
The course has seen better days. Maybe its the ownership, maybe its the management. No matter, the greens are past gone. Once they get to this level the only way to repair is to replace. They would need to dig the entire green up and start from scratch. Will be our last visit to Copper Mill. Even Brec has much better options.
