I have played many rounds here over the years. I find that the changes are a plus. The GPS in cart is great - if you can drive to your ball. This particular day I found out it was cart path only. After I had booked & arrived. I would have went somewhere else had I known. maybe I missed it when booking? The greens were furry & slower than the City courses, which was a surprise. This course is a big challenge for me, a short hitter playing blue tees, and i like it. I look forward to faster greens(like they have been most of the time) and off path rounds. One perk was they sent me out as a single, and the golfers in front of me were excellent in waving me through; I finished in about 3 hours. That doesn't happen often in Memphis!

This is one of the better value courses in the Memphis area with reliable GPS in the carts and frequent water stops available. Whenever GN gets a stellar deal from them I try to jump on it!

I played in cold windy conditions after a lot of rain the day before. Cart path only. But, even with that the course was in good playable condition. Congrats to greens keeper and staff! Always a great layout of this enjoyable and playable course.

Hard to review given the time of year but was impressed with the quality of the layout and the greens. Definitely a challenge. Look forward to coming back.

Well, it has been unbearably cold here. The covers had been on the greens for about a week. I saw the couse available on Golf Now and said to myself " why not?" I showed up and found several other golf addicts there. The course was in great shape. Even with the freezing weather here for about 10 days it was good. The fairways were mushy due to melting snow but, it was still quite fun. The G.M. and the cart person were both friendly. The superintendent and the assistant came out and spoke to me. I had a great time. The layout here is terrific. I look forward to the next time I play here. Visit this course if you are in the area. You will enjoy your round.

We had a great day playing despite the wet weather. There weren't a lot of people due to all the recent rain so pace was not an issue (other than searching for miss hits).

You couldn't ask for a friendlier staff. After finishing our round, we went inside and spent about 40 minutes talking to the manager Johnny and a couple of other folks that work there. They go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome and has the best time possible.

Don't miss an opportunity to play this course if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed with the course and you will feel like family before you leave.

The staff at Stonebridge is extremely nice. After our round the Golf Course Manager Mr. Johnny talked to us for a half an hour. My friend and I felt like we were family. Mr. Johnny asked us if we would like a bowl of chili after a cold round and my friend had one. Absolutely the friendliest golf course employees in the area, and my friend and I frequent five golf courses on a regular basis.

Greens are firm but fair rolling about a 13 on the stimp. Fairways and roughs typical for fall/winter. The leaves are falling in Memphis now so many areas near have tons of dead leaves. Hit it in there and you can basically forget about finding your ball, at least until they get all the leaves up. Use cheap balls and play the leaf rule.

The course was in really good shape and the employees were very friendly but the speed of the other golfers was very slow

Cobb is underrated in the annals of golf course design, but he was masterful at creating courses for the golfer who loves the game and just wants to enjoy a day out. Stonebridge is classic Cobb - good shots are rewarded, bad shots are punished but recoverable, greens are well conditioned and delightfully subtle. You can see traces in it of other Cobb gems like Quail Hollow and High Meadows. Not going to be the site of a US Open, but that allows for timeless design at affordable prices.
