Good gps tech on carts...
It was slightly annoying a few times, but impressive that the carts knew the rules of the course in terms speed limit around the club house, that the carts weren't allowed in the parking lot, and that it was cart path only that day. From a course protection perspective it's nice that the carts themselves police the course. It was very accurate, so we did not run into false positives or anything.
Course management needs work
This is the first time in several years I played Stonebridge and I won't play there again. It took over 40 minutes to play the first because the pro shop allows singles and doubles to play. Of the groups in front of me i did not see a single foursome. I did however see two singles! Took over 5 hours to play on a Thursday afternoon. This is just unacceptable. I'm used to playing in under 4 hours on a crowded weekend. I won't be back.
Busy Sunday
I like Stonebridge and play it often but on a busy day like yesterday, there should be a Marshall on the course to keeping people moving. The pace of play was very slow.
Good course for intermediate players
Staff was friendly. The greens were in great condition but needed to be cut. The bunkers needed some work.
Winter Golf
I had a great time the course was in good shape the weather was pleasant I met a new friend we enjoy one another's company I would do it again had a great time
Stonebridge Golf Course.
Never actually got to play this course. The person who met us st the reception was so rude and unwelcoming, we ended up going to Quail Ridge.
Customer service is lacking in this individual. Not suprising the car park was empty!
Fall golf
If you play here don't stray from the fairway! From the long Bermuda rough to the heavy leaf cover my struggling game didn't have a chance! It was good for the ball manufactures though!
Can't Beat It..
Here again on a visit to Memphis again. Played one week of rounds last month and played again today.
I just love this course, layout and the conditions were perfect today. Rough a little lower than last month which resulted in less lost balls unless you bang a tree.
Greens ran so true compared to the po-aana greens I play in Southern CA.
Kept it in the fairway instead of concentrating on distance and had the most fun I've had on this track.
Had to make shots ..like golf was intended to be played.
Jim in clubhouse is one of the nicest men in the business and the girls in the snack shop put up with my picky demands.
I don't know why this course isn't packed every day.
Fairways were best I've played in Memphis and I've played some Country Clubs here.
Can't say enough about the course and people here.
From the tips, gives the best all they can handle.
From the whites and black, perfect for seniors.
If you want to play golf on a quality, traditional course where distance isn't mandatory..play here and play the white and/or black tee.
Want a real challenge and awesome view of real golf holes...bring some golf balls, play the tips.
No two holes are side by side giving you the feeling you are the only people playing..extremely peaceful.
Great course, customer service exceptional
I am on staff at a Southern CA. semi private course near the ocean and I wish I could just move this course there...with the customer service people..
During my visit I played many courses being an ex-Memphian and remember this course when it first opened in the 1970's.
This is one of the best tracks I've played and I average 220 rounds per year.
I played this track with my wife, who just bumps the ball 135 yds down middle...
She loved it too. Pace of play was great.
Greens true and fast, fairways perfect and tough rough makes this course a real gem.
Kudos to Michele over there..she should get a raise in pay.
Great course for the money
For this time of year, stone bridge is in great shape, greens and fairways are nice. It's a great value getting a golfnow tee time and playing during the week. Gps in carts too
Nice course, good value
Course was in great shape. Greens were fast and smooth. Fairways gave perfect lies, and the rough was tall, but not impossible. I played the ball down each shot, and shot my handicap, with 4 birdies. Never lost a ball, which is good for me.
Great course for the money.
Stonebridge
Everything was fine except for the staff support. On a major holiday weekend there was only one person in the pro shop and none on the course - no starter, no marshalls! Three plus hours to play 9 holes! We left after 9! We were worn out from waiting!
great course to play in memphis when heat index below 100!
new carts with gps ranger finders and e-score card on board. fairways were in excellent shape. rough is thick. greens are good shape but challenging.
Stonebridge is a great track
I really like playing this course. It's a convenient location and the greens are in great shape. If or me anyway, it takes a lot of different clubs and I think the bunkers are well placed.
The course was in good condition.
Aside from my own mistakes, the only issue was that I ended up behind a group of six.
This is a good course for better than average players to enjoy a solid round of golf. It can require a little imagination in shot selection.
If I had been putting decently (42 total) and controlling my short irons, I would have enjoyed a really good round. Playing at a special rate softened my disappointment with my level of play. I will be returning for another round.
Fun layout
Course was in great shape. People on the course were very friendly.
Fairly decent afternoon
Friendly staff. Course was in average shape. Speed of play was good.
