Needs
The greens are good but the rest of the course needs improvement. It will take money but this course could again be a good golf destination. Even though you don’t want to be in the sand traps it would be nice to find sand in them. Fairways and rough need to be shaped up and cut.
As the Lakeland, Blue Oval and East Memphis communities grow this course could become a treasure. It just needs a bigger investment in it.
Great course and friendly staff
This was my first time at this course and I was greeted by a friendly staff and it made the experience there great from the start. There’s a lot of fun and challenging holes and overall it was a good round. I will definitely be playing there again when I’m in the area
Staff comments
The course is in decent shape that will be the positive I experienced. I made my tee time on GolfNow and paid ahead of time. The friend I played with asked if we could move the tee time back 30 minutes or so, I couldn’t reach anyone at the course to ask the day before but they could have not had anyone at the front desk in the afternoon. When I asked the guy I’m the pro shop the morning I got there his statement to me was “you booked on GolfNow and you want to change your tee time?” That basically ruined it for me, the cart path is in about as rough shape as his customer service skills. I won’t recommend to any of my friends that we play here in the future because of that one statement.
Not worth the money
The course has junk grass all in the fairways, and all over the greens. A lot of times the ball just bounces are over the green because of the junk grass. It is definitely not worth $64.00...I could have played Fair Oaks or Miramichi cheaper and they are both in much better condition.
Bunkers
Needed sand. Pretty much washed out. To early in the season to expect the fairways to be like they usually are
Tons of Poa Annua on Greens
This is a fun course and the first time I’ve played in the past few years. They discounted the rate to around $30 because of the amount of poa annua on the greens. If it were full price I would be very disappointed and not go back. Because of the price, it is a fair value and still a fun course.
Very friendly
One person working. Very friendly and helpful. Course coming out of winter and has had a lot of rain. Needs some clean up.
