Older course, short 5400-6400 yard course, tight fairways, easy to walk
Course was built in the 1920's, so now it's in the middle of the city. No room for driving range, just putting green. It's named after PGA tour brothers Jay & Lionel Hebert. The greens were redone a few years ago with much improvement. Greens are a little slow but they hold very well. Some water, about 8 holes. Sand traps on 16 of 18 greens. Back nine has 3 par 3's & 3 par 5's
Love the renovation.
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were in great shape but a little slow. Fairways and tees are good also.
Hebert Municipal
Course was in good shape. Couldn't tell if the greens had been cut that morning. They were a tad slow. All other aspects of the course itself were perfect. Pace of play was 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Great Value
Fist time playing this course and pleasantly surprised. Excellent value with or without a Hot Deal. Overall the course was in great condition with the exception of 3 greens - there were large areas that were extremely rough and borderline ground under repair. Luckily these did not interfere with any of my putts. All other greens were pristine. The course layout was fun and challenging. Both the gentleman in the pro shop and the ladies in the snack bar were incredibly friendly. Pace of play was amazing - went out at 11:45 with a group 3 holes in front of us and were followed by a group 3 holes behind us. Excellent selection of craft beers in the club house - would definitely recommend this course to someone looking to play a decent course for a great value.
Excellent Value
Excellent value for this course. Kept up better than other courses around town for cheaper price to play. Greens are in awesome shape.
